On a serious note.. after all the boring discussions.. I hoped Ani would recognize the Saree.. it would have meant so much.

As usual they missed it. It’s always Arshti and Bipasha talking nonsense is important.

Episode was everything I expected and straightforward. The only thing to really discuss that is new was the last convo between Jhanak and Ani. Tbh, I was blindsided. From what I saw, it seems Jhanak has realized her feelings and is not confessing due to circumstances - how did she make so much progress in under one episode? And frankly, I’m not cool with Jhanak being way ahead of Ani, or at least before he has settled his side. Why? Because Ani tops the power dynamic, I loved more the fact that Jhanak topped the emotional dynamic, even without meaning to. There was something about Jhanak being more grounded and less feeling than Ani - even though she has positive emotions towards him. I do think this much progress doesn’t make sense. How? Why? When? So I will settle that Jhanak is in a state where she is realizing her feelings, note I didn’t say realized. Jhanak is still testing waters, aware that the reason why she readily wants to leave is to stop these thing she has realized, this affection to grow. In this way, it makes more sense because Jhanak’s progress doesn’t match her character. Summarily, Jhanak is not not confessing because she is sure and scared of external things, she is not confessing because her feelings are new, feel unworthy and unwieldy, and she doesn’t want them to grow. Her statement about not having an option to marry is a manifestation of the desire of a young woman falling. It’s one of those moments where one blurts whatever they imagine even when they would never actually do that irl. Jhanak is not saying she will ever actually confess, she is just daydreaming - even if I tried to make this little thing lead somewhere, even if I thought about it and started to blush and nurse this crush, it won’t lead somewhere because it’s wrong and it’s hard and it’s you, so it’s foolish and I should marry to stop the delusion. So rather than seeing Jhanak as thinking of a real future with Ani, we should see her as viewing her growing emotions as fantasies and doomed to destroy her because only she will suffer. Jhanak isn’t prompting Ani or trying to hint anything. She has never needed him that way and has an independent mind. She has decided the solution to this problem and Ani’s talk was probably a way to vent her self-mockery. Now, this fits Jhanak. In this way, Jhanak still maintains being very self-aware and also still having less strong feelings than Aniruddh. The switch is that while Jhanak has considerably less, it seems more prominent because she is quick enough to be the first to realize that she is developing feelings - given by her flashbacks, it’s a fresh new crush and blush feverish type of thing brought upon by recalling all the nice things and care he has done for her. And mind you, Jhanak suspects he does like her some way. So Jhanak is even in the mode of saving both of themselves. Her from wasting her time to suffer or even worse, saving him from ruining his life for her. To her, she is an infatuation. It’s not that deep - for both of them. That’s why she has no doubts that marriage will put an end to this and stop things completely. Jhanak still has no doubt that she can live well without Ani. Ani, on the hand, finds it physically impossible not to have Jhanak on his mind. Jhanak doesn’t mind marrying and even officiating Aniruddh’s wedding as a solution. She will feel slight pain as all crushes do, but it will pass - it’s not that deep, it’s just due to all our circumstances together, it would just make me suffer for nothing, it’s going to ruin my life even more, so I need to solve it with marriage. And Jhanak CAN do this - it’s really not that deep for her yet. She can still stand her ground with him and act normal. If Ani were to keep quiet till the wedding, she will actually marry and leave forever. He’s the one poking at something she wants to hide and kill, not even suppress. Jhanak has no desire to suppress anything - she wants to burn it to the ground right there. Her words to Ani were just saying why it’s foolish to try suppressing something she knows can’t be suppressed. It’s better to kill it once and for all.

Beautifully written dear. Janak understood something is brewing between them and wanted to stop it once for all. The brewing has been understood by everyone except Ani.
