I am getting another possibility. The fake groom might run/ refuse last moment after hearing Ani Janak marraige. Since the mandap marraige is stopped, who will marry kind of stupid logic will come. This marriage track was supposed to be an eye opener for Jhanak's feeling and Anirudh's .

Ok Anirudh knows he loves her , but still ..

Also drama wise it should have been on edge , the makers just made it comedy by bringing such old uncle ..

I am in no mood to take tension as I trust Anirudh so much that this marriage will go with the wind ...

I’m thinking that the groom fake marries Jhanak( or maybe the marriage won’t work anyways since she is already married?). All in all, the ceremony is complete and Jhanak leaves with him. Ani is shattered and cries like mad and drinks upstairs. However on the way, the car stops and Tejas appears and the groom reveals that he is one of Tejas’ henchmen and this is all planned. Since the wedding was fake, in part, it was also because Tejas doesn’t really care for marrying Jhanak and treating her right. He just wants to use and dump her. Jhanak is forced to be in the car with Tejas who takes over the driving - but she manages to escape and calls Ani. Ani gets the call and doesn’t pick, already upset and not wanting to pick a strange call, but it goes on and on and he picks, upset. It’s Jhanak and she tells him that she is running from Tejas and shristi planned it ( or not). Ani is enraged (and subtly relieved), then he goes to confront shristi and says he better return back with Jhanak or she will see a lot of new dramas from him. Arshi tries to stop him and he tells her enough is enough; her mom is despicable and she can’t see it’s wrong. Arshi says it’s her problem and the usual. Ani is finally upset and tells her he wants a break because he can’t even imagine what he is hearing (would this happen? Makers do something for me). Arshi is distraught but he angrily ignores her and drives away to go find Jhanak. He finds her after a long time and they escape together. Enter some jungle or countryside scenes where Ani is comforting or helping her - perhaps she was injured in escaping - and he finally realizes his feelings when he understands why he was so sad and why he was so relieved to see her and why he was so worried about her enough to break things with Arshi. Honestly, makers just need to do this because if this isn’t the thing that makes Ani think, nothing will tbh.
