I was just thinking how easily we will hold Surya accountable if he does the slightest bend towards Anjali but it is not fair on Surya too that his wife is still in love with Agastya. I mean give Surya the same leeway that Imlie gets. The writers are not doing him favors by showing him so non-chalant and so hoity-toity. We have been seeing Imlie for months, so naturally there will be more smypathy towards her. Please tone Surya down and make him more likeable.

I don't understand what is the demand here? A show without any drama and just close scene of the leads?

In most shows bahu is shown to 'create' problems for the husband. Isse hi to show chalta hain na? Sirf romance se to nahi chalega?

Anyway in my opinion Imlie didn't even try to do anything problematic for Surya. Agar karti toh I would have liked as I would be happy atleast family drama to mil rahi hain romance nahi toh. But here its only desert.

We’ve seen this girl always compromise and put other people first. She has never prioritized herself and at a certain point everyone has a limit to what they can tolerate.

Dadi coerced them both into getting married and Imlie’s honestly doing the best she can at the moment. She’s barely holding it together emotionally and there’s still so much for her to process in her grief. Right now, she’s going through denial, she refuses to believe that she’s actually married to Surya so of course she can’t go through the pretence of being his wife. We can’t compare this to the contract marriage with Agastya because that was a different Imlie, one who hadn’t lost the love of her life.

The sindoor and mangalsutra were already big steps for her, we can’t deny that it took a lot for her to do it. Now on top of that we want her to stay quiet and not make a scene when her relationship with her Babu gets tarnished by strangers? We want her to not freak out and pretend like everything is fine when the Reddy’s prepare her Babu’s bedroom for her suhag raat with Surya?

Yes, Surya isn’t forceful towards her but all of this in such a short amount of time is still a lot for a person to bear. She’s all alone with no one to call her own, living with strangers and a man who shares the same face as her dead husband. There hasn’t been a single day of peace in her life. The Reddy’s don’t like her and they have valid reasons to not accept her given how they met, but they’re barely giving her time to adjust. They magically expect her to behave in the old fashioned ways.

I just feel really sad for Imlie honestly ☹️

I dont see why anyone should try and change opinions of people who dont matter. Haa had the family held such views you can try to explain. This was the same girl who did not mind her rights to be called Agastya ki wife/ widow being snatched by Binni. Yeh stupid reasons hai to fight and preach in my opinion. There are better ways to bring about a conflict or issues she can create for Surya. I didn’t mind the Sindoor wala issue. This one was a non issue imo.

I did not like the whole confrontation or Imlie answering back to the guests. Agastya - Imlie ka reception had far more tashan and good dialogues when Chintamani told that Imlie was a bar singer. It is like the people wanted to end this segment. They just wanted Surya to have a confrontation point with Imlie due to this relative insults.

But bar singer topic could. A 21st century show cannot make this Vidhwa a hot topic. Its better to drop it. Drawing parallel scenes is the biggest mistake the writers are doing at this point right now.
