What they should have done is sent Surya and Imlie after the reception to the decorated room and then shown some angst and awkwardness and followed by some banted or comedy. They could show Imlie flashbacks of Agastya and her on the bed, him talking about not letting her sleep etc. There was no need for this preachy social service message or tricks by Malti and mom. Now that Imlie is married to Surya, the taane about being bad luck etc. don't hold any importance.

This is how any normal person would have expected the story to be. The Imlie writers couldn’t even think this much. If the reception scene was badly edited, the post reception scenes were badly written. These writers are enough to pull the curtains on the show.

There should be characters who should push both the leads together. Older generation can also do that job. But neither older nor younger generation is there in the family.

With the Chaudhurys you had three generations. Here it's mostly the middle generation.

lack of surya-imlie’s scenes for the audience to root them as a couple… I understand that they cannot show the cliched trip and fall or anything filmy of that sort given imlie’s love for Agasthya. But surya-imlie are the main couple now.. they need to think of other ways to give scenes to them as a stand-alone couple and not just family drama scenes. It’s been close to 2 months that imlie-surya have been pivoted as a couple to the audience and they have hardly gotten any scenes to build their relationship! For the audience to look forward as to how they will come together or will they actually go their separate ways?

This is like imlie-surya will come together because they are the main leads but nothing from a narrative standpoint. As is, the whole marriage situation is very bleak and gloomy and they are just doing family drama scenes for them.

Also are we really not getting a holi sequence in this show? I kept looking forward to it but nothing happened.

The sindoor could’ve been put on holi or something ☹️

Absolutely. They need to show more interactions between the leads. More conclusive interactions not just mere banters. At least show yhem stay together in a room before Anjali comes in. Show them adjust with each other. Show their awkwardness and dilemma.

I hope they get get in chacha-chachi’s kids. We need some happy siblings in the family. Malti is sadu.

Holi will not happen. They gave the time period of that to sindoor and reception drama. Ab toh koi major festival bhi nahi hai. We have to probably tolerate drama and more drama and that too uninteresting one

On a completely different note - IPL matches are super interesting. Usually matches are this intense only during the later stages of the competition when teams are trying to qualify for the playoffs. Yesterday match between SRH vs MI was a six hitting game. I really doubt how many people tune in to watch shows on TV
