I think Maula Jutt producer themselves "soft" boycotted sabun awards. Their producer has said we don't want to be considered for awards that does not have a whole range of award categories for cinema including for technicians. So safe to say they never submitted. But in critics awards at least, they should have recognized TLOMJ or just made up a standalone award recognizing its achievement.

I thought the cute initiative taken by Kya Drama Hai panel with their own awards was kind of nice. They acknowledged and hailed soooo many supporting actors and other team members who never get recognition. I remember Razia won a lot of awards, so did Kabli Pullao and Sar e Raah. TB was also there in the popular categories. I think they even included DOPs which was so good. Supporting cast main I remember Saqib Sameer got so emotional on stage and teared up because it was his first award as a supporting actor 🥹🥹

If Lux wants credibility it needs to start doing the same. A list actors winning every now and then aren’t going to save it forever.

Shuja was SO shy in that interview while Khaqan just wouldn’t shut up lol. And I remember how excited Hassan got when he found out Shuja is doing his next project with Durre (Khaie) 🤦🏻‍♀️😂 Just Hassan being Hassan lol
