The episode of Kya Drama Hai released today with Sadia Imam, Marina Khan and Nadia Khan. They’re all disappointed with the climax - as expected. But the ratings on acting was a bit bizarre for me. Maybe they rated Bilal lower coz Shibra had more scenes than him last week. But still… cmon - Bilal is a far better actor than Durre.

This week Jaan e Jahaan won a lot of categories including best actor , actress and drama of the week as well. I’m not watching that show so don’t know, but IM took a step back overall.

Jej is better written and executed than IM. It might be a simple predictable love story but the way each character is written and executed is commendable. The leads falling in love is also very much relatable and the chemistry also looks natural because their scenes are written and shot like that. Hamza and ayeza both are good enough actors and matches each other well.

They have rated her higher a few times before as well.

Even Waseem Abbas called her a good actor while criticizing Bilal. I used to watch every episode before but I could say they don't watch the show like they should be as reviewers. I remember every dialogue & scene but they don't even know the details of the scenes they are talking about.

The friction is between Shibra & her father this time. They had similar morals, yet their perception of Shahmeer is different. Shibra's perception clouded by love & Suleiman's by betrayal. They have detailed conversations & they are calling each other out, only if Durre had a good dialogue delivery the scenes would have come out to be better.

While Shibra liked FB's innocence & goofiness she started falling for him when they started discussing different things. They have had detailed scenes where she was clearly impressed by FB's deep meaningful talks. It was a Shahmeer inside FB talking. She would clearly get surprised when he talked like Shahmeer & would even say that he sounds different.

Also Shahmeer didn't help the family because he wanted Shibra. He had just met her mother when he helped her without even Shibra knowing. Same with Sukaina, he connected with her on personal level. If he had not been Shahmeer Shibra wouldn't have come out of jail. He never took the credit of doing these things for her family, it was Suleiman who started associating these things with him being a maulayi.

Shahmeer's changing of identity has been wrong on his part though, not denying it.

Shahmeer is not a bad guy to not care for a woman who collapsed infront of him. Obviously he will help her. Shahmeer gives money to real Fazal baksh as well. I am not saying shahmeer is some bad guy or evil.

The only reason sukaina warmed up to shahmeer is because he is capable of solving her problems. Else no loving sister is gonna blindly trust a complete stranger simply because he told he loves her sister.

The thing is shahmeer could have easily won over everyone with his own identity. He could have simply hide his family bg and not tell he is dawood's son. Why go through all this fake identity thing is the result was this?

Shahmeer is such a red flag, I don’t get why people don’t wanna admit it. His flaws are interesting people. It’s what makes him layered. But the show molding Shibra’s reaction into a non reaction is white washing him, which is what is problematic. If she shuns him for a while, challenges his deceit and then later they reconcile, nobody would be complaining. It’s just that Shibra’s lack of reaction is not doing justice to the story we have been watching and that’s unfair to the character, the story and the audience.

Yes we can find excuses for Shibra’s lack of reaction. But that’s just what it is. Excuses. Literally any other turn of events would have been far more interesting. Not to mention the writing has given them zero good lines post reveal. It’s tragic. This is the friggin climax and I was bored with the “ghareeb aadmi” line which I didn’t even remember was even a thing between them. Like.. what even?

I was watching a review of IM on AK Buzz. They said they looked through all past episodes to find that line but it was never there. They were saying agar flashbacks add hi karna tha ya extra scenes daalne hi the toh ek issi scene ka daal dete.

Bold: I'm not complaining as it gave us the endearing character like FB. Whoever I'm talking to in my family about IM loves FB.

FB as a character surely is endearing but they could have come up with a better story if this was the climax. And if this was the climax why the need of FB?

Was it that hard to start the story with shahmeer becoming Fazal to get to know people better before he starts his political career and then meeting shibra or his love at first sight for shibra being unrelated to him changing his identity.

Agree, that would have been a better plot.

Fb was goofy and endearing... but shameer isn't.. that's not his personality, the corridor dance walk not withstanding... shameer didn't just fake his name but also his personality.. who exactly is shibra in love with

This would Actually be such a good story line. Where He is under disguise for his own purpose,.Trying to be a good politician and they both stumbled across each other and fall in love because because at the core they have similar values. Plus they could have shown so much initial conflict with him unable to understand the struggles of the common man despite his best intentions. Atleast we wouldn't be having these superficial random useless episodes bec there is no story left to tell

Seriously. Who are the writers that we can come up with better plot lines then them In ten seconds.

Shibra is one of the most one dimensional dumb character ever. She even surpassed meerab. No matter how annoying meerab got she atleast reacted to situations. Shibra is like so what shahmeer did identity theft and lied through his teeth from the moment I met him, his lobe is true . How little self respect one will have to just sweep it all under the rug like that? If she was such a doormat why did we bare all those unbareable lectures with bad acting in the initial episodes? just show her as a pretty girl with no personality or self respect from the start.

It doesn't matter if shahmeer bribed a job for sukaina and her husband or made one. The fact remains he got them a govt job these two are not capable of getting on their own. Tomorrow he will create a special position for shibra which will be above a civil service officer if he wants to and shibra will be like I deserve it because I couldn't crack civil services exams because I was busy roaming around with my lover who pretended to be somone else to manipulate me to fall for him . She will be like 'Since I didn't get the job because of shahmeer he just compensated it by making one for me. This is not corruption or misusing power but his true lobe for me. So it don't affect my principles or ethics which I preach to anyone and everyone at any given time'

Yeah, Shibra's principles have made an easy exit she's ready to be in the govt or in a high positioned job which Shameer will gift her..power couple banenge Shameer and Shibra

Shameer did so much to get into her good books , if only he knew that she would have accepted him even 10 episodes back
