Manav and Armaan are not very different in their approach to a life partner. Manav wants an independent girl whom he would support in her career. He also wants her to have a social life as well. I don't think Armaan is opposed to any of that.

The key difference is Manav is not weighed down by the expectation by his family while Armaan has always burdened himself with responsibilities to the point it affects his relationship.
