This reminds me even IPKKND changed tracks due to protest. When Barun got a movie and decided to leave TV, PH decided to have a new ML and kill off Barun character. The new actor was Viraf Firoz Patel.

But the craze that IPKKND had acheived till that time never allwed the PH to hvae his wish. Fans everywhere protested so so much for this that we dont want a new actor, convince barun or end the show.

The channel had no option but to end the show. Infact during the ending episodes they showed a message that Barun wants to have a career in films so he is leaving the show and therefore we are ending it.

LOL. True. Saumya (the FL) was a bad actress but had a good fanbase that time. After that she hardly worked here and there and was Kaurwaki in Chakrawartin Ashok Samrat (Paired opposite Mohit Raina as ashok)

And obviously Shaheer has a crazy mad following, from BOLN time.

Same thing happened in CID when Shivaji sir wanted to leave the show in 2012....fan protests made him stay back

I wish those fans protested for DareYa storyline to be handled properly

TBH, whenever there is this talk, i wonder whether the DV storyline of s3 was pre thought plan and Abhinav entry was pre planned storyline. Or they never planned it but the public sentiment and the sensitivity of such storyline made them change story.

I don't think any show in ITV has a fixed storyline which is followed throughout the show.....only the first 30 - 50 episodes would be focusing on the core plot which was pitched to the channel and then they make tracks based on audience liking or disliking a paticular character

But this show did an entire wedding song which was planned beforehand so idk

Exactly my point. This show planned such a crazy song for almost a year. So much was the confusion and intrigue that people always wondered about BTS pics from those shots which were no way related to the original scene.

The show always focused on the FL in 13 yrs, but when HC came and show continued on its track to focus FL, his rabid fans couldn't tolerate it and started pressurizing the PH . Thats when i think the PH decided for a track change because if you look at it, no show has treated the ML and its character worse than how Jerkmanyu was treated by DKP . The existence wiped off as if he was never in the show.

Fans very rarely care about story. Most care only about actors who get viral fanbase.

Not everyone is like Vanshaj fans who Anjali described as intelligent. Or was it something else? I couldnt remember much.

Same happened in American show Grey's Anatomy.....the toxic RF lead character Derek Shepherd was killed off at season 11 (actor wanted to leave the show + his offscreen antics were atrocious) and his character wasn't even acknowledged in the 300 episode special video by the channel

But he was brought back in season 17 as a guest appearance (he came back as a ghost when FL was in a coma and was dreaming about the dead ones......this show killed a lot of their main characters....that was right about the time i stopped watching the show)
