That’s an interesting choice of combos.
Unlike what the movie tried to propagate, South Indians eat curds only with rice and don’t use it like a chutney in the form of raitha and eat it with everything. They have specific types of chutneys and powders to go with each type of food. Curds or more specifically buttermilk is used to top off the meal as a digestive.
