why can't Armaan just tell Ruhi "I moved on from you. I don't love you anymore. Even if I had the chance to get together with you, I wouldn't."

Instead of beating around the bush "yeh rishta kabhi waapis jud nahi sakta hai", "tum meri bhai ki paatni hu" etc etc. Like stop giving excuses and just flat out say it. I know from personal experience that giving excuses just makes the dumpee feel like the dumper wants to be with her but can't due to circumstances which just gives you pity for the dumper and doesn't let you move on.

especially with Armaan being so against Ruhi's wedding. Like how Armaan prioritized Rohit's wishes over his own and convinced Ruhi to marry him, let him prioritize dadisa's wishes and let Ruhi meet Manav/marry him. Maybe with time she'd actually move on if Armaan gave her a single clearcut message. Armaan being against Ruhi's wedding is the biggest block to Ruhi's move-on. Like let her go man seriously ugh. I hate him.

Abhira doesn't tell him something (once in a while) he goes crazy and calls her out! Khud yahanpe itna bada kaand chupake baita hain, aur to aur chup chup ke discussions bhi..
