I think they are showing this in rishta because unlike other versions of this show where ML and PL escaped from punishment same won't happen here. Armaan especially has to face consequences

In two days her hairline was adorned with Rohit ke naam ka sindoor but Armaan got married to Abhira in a jiffy She was drawing comparison that how long she took to marry Rohit (which in itself is a joke) while he married someone in like minutes.

That hardly changes anything coz Abhira knows Ruhi knows about their deal wedding. So Ab would have anyway left, if not now then after a year.
