This is how I would like the track to move forward.
Ar-Ab to fall in love with each other simultaneously. I would love to see subtle flirting and a certain ease with romantic gestures. Like Ar taking her out on ice-cream dates, them hugging without awkwardness but a sense of belonging. Both being aware that aag dono taraf lagi hai case.
But at the same time Abhira should be able to see Ruhi getting bolder with her moves. She would confront Ar about it but he would brush it off worrying it might ruin whatever he and Ab has.
One fateful night Ar-Ru confrontation occurs and Ab MU that Ar has feelings for Ru. She feels betrayed, hurt and disgusted that Ar would play with her feelings. She thinks of confronting Ar but then questions herself "kis haq se?". He hasn't made any verbal committment to her.
Ab then starts ignoring Ar. Ar tries to get her attention but fails. This goes on for a couple of days. One day he asks her to join for a coffee date which she declines sighting being busy. Ab instead goes to a cafe to enjoy with her fellow colleagues. Coincidently Ar happens to be in the same cafe and spots her having coffee with a male colleague. Furious Ar charges towards her and confronts her. Ab gets equally furious that Ar made her and her colleague uncomfortable. The colleague excuses himself when Ar asks her to follow home as he doesn't want to create anymore scene in a public place. Ab follows him but doesn't speak a word and gives him a cold shoulder.
Ar gets angrier by the second and starts driving rashly. Ab gets worried and asks him to slow down. He doesn't budge. Ab starts panicking and literally begs him to slow down when he suddenly applies the brake that causes the tortoise to fall down.
Ab glares at Ar and walks out of the car. Ar follows her screaming her name. He catches onto her and pulls her hard to himself. Imagine the same kind of confrontation when Ar kept asking her what was bothering her.
Ar loses his patience and accuses her of enticing men while being married. Ab loses her cool and unleashes all her pent up frustration! She accuses him of ema and breaking her trust. A very angsty confrontation.
By the end of it Ar realises Ab knows about Ru. He tries to explain but Ab isn't ready to listen at all. She asks him only one question "Is the chitwali Ruhi?"
Ar nods in a yes and that is the end of the arguement. Ab wants to go home and doesn't want to talk to him.
That night Ar again sleeps on the floor holding Ab hands. He pours out his heart to her then. He apologises for keeping her in the dark as he feared losing her. He wants to confess that he loves her but decides not to as he worries she might not believe him.
