MR didn't happen until E47. TB was being discussed very early on. And it wasn't the slap or jump either - the slap is so common in pak dramas that in pak audiences it wouldn't even raise an eyebrow. Merub and Murtasim had really Pak audiences under a spell. In retrospect, it seems almost surreal how hooked and invested people were.

I myself was an ardent viewer until I lost the interest. I know the USP was Murtasim & the chemistry between the leads. I meant to say there were triggering elements in the show. Be it what Meerab went through, their forced marriage or even Haya's character. These things generate a lot of discussions on social media.

Honestly. Haya was never much a point of discussion until much much later. If you watched Tere Bin live, no body thought Haya would become this important cktr she did later on. For the first two-thirds, she was a minor annoyance that Merub-Murtasim had to deal with. The biggest obstacles Merub-Murtasim had in their HEA were they themselves and the discussions used to be about that. It wasn't like Mein discussion at all. There was no Team Haya vs Team Merub.

It used to trend on Twitter almost everyday with Yumna and Wahaj even when it was not the airing day. I'm a Bigg Boss fan. And I remember even BB16 HT was filled with TB and Yumhaj discussions. Till now I see them trending sometimes

Fawad and Sanam were a rage in India after Zindagi Gulzaar Hai, don't think any other actor comes close to them

That's like the story blue print for most pak dramas nowadays for the last 2-3 yrs but only tb became this popular with yumna and wahaj's chemistry having this kind of craze after farhan and hania. Even aik sitam aur created quite a buzz for a daily soap with no A listers and for the longest time the drama didn't had a proper villain and even after getting two they both were way too mild compared to any geo drama villains. It got people hooked instantly after the leads started staying in the same household. Before TB it had the most threads in IF. Neither Usama nor anmol are anywhere near the popularity bilal or dure had before IM started. They still don't have it but asa was popular during its run solely because Usama and anmol's chemistry clicked.

IM is the kind of show you watch and enjoy while its onair but won't generate any sort of actual interest among the viewers. The slow pace and dragging isn't helping either. Most of us know whats gonna happen in it.

Yes they were. Before Zgh I didn't even know Pakistan had a drama industry.
