And who respects Alia now outside of her own fandom? She hardly has any credibility anymore and she gets called out for her over the top PR all the time.

This is disappointing because someone with Ranveer’s talent is above this. The headline could have talked about Don3 being flashier or the best without mentioning SRK’s name. Actor A is so much better than actor B is always a tacky PR move, but doing it with someone of SRK’s caliber is a big no no.

Who respects Alia? Ummmm..... The general cinema going audience. Who don't care about all these online consiparcy theories.

Social media is a huge indicator of how any celebrity is perceived. Otherwise everyone’s PR wouldn’t be lurking around Reddit and even here. And given the massive backlash she’s received over her recent Filmfare win I don’t think everyone’s very sweet on her at the moment. I’m not saying she’s not popular or doesn’t have a massive fan base. Of course she is and does. What I am saying is for most followers of Bollywood her schtick is up. She and her team need to reinvent their approach with the whole Alia is the greatest of them all thing.

Given the current state of Movies ...

Having a massive budget is not exactly a good thing. That too for a movie like Don which has slick, stylized action rather than massy action

Both Karan and Alia have lost their ability to poach. Devara was one such film, which Janhvi stole.

Maddock and T series are better placed to support their favourites.

Alia's fanbase exulted in the power of Kjo.He has to keep delivering like this

Alia’s schtick is most definitely up. And she most definitely is not respected, certainly not in the way that she and her team would like her to be. She’s getting the best scripts because, and to quote Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, thanks to Karan all these great movies fall into her lap. Her last real hit was Raazi, unless you also want to count RRR. Everything else either flopped or underperformed. So perhaps her career has been affected by the backlash. Or maybe it was all a PR facade that is not holding up as well as it used to.
