So true. When I was binge watching pandya store I felt there was much more subtle acting than tb and other geo shows . It's the multiple zoom ins that make a scene over dramatic and not really the acting of the actors.

Apart from acting, the writers also don’t put effort in making characters interesting. They are just not interesting to watch. All the males are dumb, the female characters are supposed to be outspoken but they just annoy me. The relationships have no depth. Earlier, there used to be a Sassi (O rangreza), Saba (Bin Roye), Bano (Dastaan), Farah-Arjumand-Ruhi (Diyar e Dil), Insha-Ameera-Sakina-Hajra (Raqeeb Se) along with Qasim, Wali, Irtaza, Maqsood,Hassan, etc and you rooted for them.They made mistakes, annoyed you but still wanted for them to have a Happy Ending. The relationships were soo flawed, yet human and realistic. You could feel that you were a part of those stories. Right now, it’s all same thing. Rich boy falls in love for a poor outspoken girl. They get married. Sasuma behaves like a sasuma. Then there is another girl who is also in love with they guy and does everything in her power to separate them. Other then Kuch Ankahi’s characters, and story. No other show made me invested in recent years which is really sad. Today’s female characters seem to be less strong-headed than the heroines that were introduced earlier. And the male characters are either ABUSIVE or simply DUMB.

So true. Kuch ankahi with all its flaws had characters with depth and it was not just the leads. Every other character had layers to them.

I am surprised at myself that I enjoyed binge watching a Hindi serial more than any recent pak dramas. That's how basic majority of the pak dramas have become.
