Anirudh needs to control his so-called "EGO" and he did not think of Arshi because for the moment she's standing with him and so is his whole family he has the habit of everyone obeying him.

In a part of his mind and heart he knows that the wedding happened but just avoiding it but when Jhanak said she hates him this really hit him how can she say the word Hate to him...This is man ego.

Even I understand he is avoiding the marriage part. He is not realizing just because he avoids it, that does not mean it does not exist. But in the case of hearing the word hate from Janak, he is getting angry not because of his ego but because of his helplessness I believe. He is getting bothered by the word, but he does not know why?

I don't think it's his ego he was just really hurt. It was very natural for him to feel bad, when all he wanted was Jhanak to be safe and she ended up using such strong words for him.

He has done a lot for her but yet she always blames n complains and now hate also, so he is confused n hurt like what wrong did I do!

Another good thing about Ani is he never expected Jhanak to be grateful. She never appreciated him and he was fine with it, but using such harsh words would shatter anyone!

He was sleep deprived, shocked and on top her reactions…..I’m sure once he cools down, he’ll realize why she may have done that
