It's really hard to say. Without Salman initially she might have only ended up doing a few films and then vanishing. I am not going to take away her hardwork, but I will say it is limited. It is a known fact that once Katrina started dating Salman she was given immense opportunities and acted like a diva (which carried on when she dated RK). You are very right! It's surprising even Deepika cannot pull crowds on her own. I think Chapaak didn't do very well. It's only Alia who can. I read a very interesting article that Sridevi was the first superstar actress and Alia is the 2nd when it comes to box office power. It had a lot of stats from back in the day. Even Madhuri could not pull crowds in female centric movies as much as these 2 did and do. It's a sorry fact and I don't understand why that happens. When it comes to content, I feel those movies are much better.

Maybe Katrina could have made it. People forget now but she was the most beautiful looking actress for those 6-7 years. (From Namaste London to Bang Bang). 2013 was when Deepika had Race 2, YJHD (which Katrina refused), Ram Leela and Chennai Expres- 4 massive hits in 1 year and the pendulum shifted. But who knows, without the initial movies that she got because of Salman, she wouldn't have become popular at all considering her 1st movie was Boom

Yeah, I think it's been really hard for actresses to really hold up the box office standards that their male counterparts have. And yes, Katrina was very beautiful and a dream girl to both men and woman alike, unfortunately she ruined her face with excessive cosmetic procedures (and yes, this industry is not kind to aging souls) and then there are others to take her place. Though she will never be replicated, there will always be someone who can out act her.

Yes, I also feel she would vanish after doing few movies if Salman didn’t help her.

Produced in the modern era. And Ash, has always been treated as the Goddess who can do no wrong. It’s said that most men died to have her gaze upon them, forget about dating/relationship with them. Men anyway are extremely visual creatures & to have one so breathtakingly beautiful as Ash & as successful as her, as their partner, makes men’s head’s spin.

She was the Ultimate DreamGirl of BW pre-marriage. After her, it was DP who was hailed as a Goddess pre-marriage & the one after Ash, who everyone wanted to either be, or be with.

Nah it’s definitely DP. Atleast BW feels so. And while Kat is VERY beautiful! Esp in her prime, DP is something else. She’s the only 1 who is touted & regarded to be the Dream Girl after Ash.

I feel Katrina and Deepika are at par. Even if one can argue Deepika has the more magnificent face. I even think that was debatable because my father who used to say Aish is one of the most beautiful girls he has seen way back when she was a model not even Miss World yet. He mostly praised Katrina for her facial beauty in her prime, not Deepika. Even if Deepika has the upper hand face-wise. Undoubtedly, when you are judging who was more gorgeous from head to toe, it was Katrina. Obviously, right now Deepika has the upper hand on the face.

IMO still neither are on Aish's level. Her face just is at a whole other level. It can hypnotize one.

Also, I do not think it is undisputed that Deepika is the next dream girl in Bollywood. There was a huge debate when Padamavat released whether she was the ideal choice as many felt Aditi Rao Hydari looked prettier than her in the film. Yeah, the unibrow did not help Deepika. And the role was written originally for Aish. I think Deepika has come the closest after Aish to be someone who can do period films. SLB did not want to sign Katrina, even at Salman's request, because her Urdu accent was so off.

There is a reason why dp was requested to be without makeup or minimum make up while shooting for some of her films because her beauty would overshadow everyone so they provided less make up for her. rs used to do 2 hours of makeup for the film slb movie even slb knew dp would overshadow with beauty so said no make up or less makeup for dp. But I think dp looks her best when she is in a happy space like oso days, bah days and cocktail days, her face glows with beauty when she is happy.
