Trivia - this was supposed to be sung by some other singer - asha bhonsle! But she was late so they made Kavita sing a scratch just as a practice! But laxmikant liked it so much that he decided to go ahead with it..even asha accepted that the rendition was impeccable!
Another interesting thing - Kavita made a Lil mistake in this and pronounced janu as jeenu n herself pointed it out to Laxmi kanth ! But laxmikant felt that sriz expressions were so pronounced that the viewers would feel that she intended to say jeenu only! Hence they didn't record the song again and went ahead with it...
It also shows how confident kavita must be about her singing- she was ready for another take especially because in that era there was no digital recording and the entire song had to be recorded in one take...
N talking about sri, it is said she was sick during the shooting of this song but its amazing how she have such a dazzling performance with such range of expressions ...kudos....
I happen to remember this because i read somewhere not that i did any research or something 😂
Anyway so many interesting incidents associated with this song -- such a treat...
