I am surprised she signed Gehraiyaan, she only signed because it was Karan Johar production. She should had declined that movie.

Gehraiyaan was one of the best movies in her career. It was an author backed role, something which only Alia has access to these days. I am sure it would have received a flop verdict if released on theatres but still it is far better than Chaapak

Come on, it is thanks to that movie Gehraiyaan that we found out her hidden talents - kissing like an expert, mouthing the f word in 100s of different ways etc. So much talent she showed

Ya, gehariyaan showed a side of deepu rani that alia can never hope to match... like when it comes to smooching and talking dirty. She should have gotten an Oscar for her acting in that movie, no?

I enjoyed Gehraiyaan. I think the marketing/promotion of the film was at fault because they made it out to be rather tawdry. KJo was trying to sell the film on steamy sex scenes and nudity but the film actually barely has that. Despite being on OTT, it wasn't really all that explicit minus the language, so I remember half the audience was disappointed just from that because they were promised something else. I think it's a film that requires a rewatch or at least some time to ponder on it afterwards because I felt very differently about it after seeing it than I did when I was actually watching it. I can see why a lot of people say it was one of her best performances.

Deepika has not been taking roles that explore her skills/character. Same kind of roles.

Gehrayian/piku/even veronica

These kinds of roles she should be looking
