how can we forget Sister Shanta. She Sacrificed her Rajkanya life and agreed to marry Rishi shring who then performed Putra Kameshthi Yagya .

In Ravan serial and from some articles on net, we came to know Shanta was Dashrath and kaushalyas daughter but From Ram-Katha on some channel, I heard Shanta was Sumitras and dashraths daughter. Dashrath in gurukul promised Rompad his friend that i will give my first child to you. Doenst matter whether boy or girl
and he followed his promise. He promised so coz Rompad was very worried one day he was crying saying he dont have elder brothers love in his destiny, dashrath said
From today I ll be your elder brother. Then he said may be reading his horo he wont have childs too, so dashrath ji promised him.

Mother sumitra too must be appreciated , tyag ki devi
sacrificed shanta for promise, laxman for ramji.
Always served mother Kaushalya like sister.

I like Sumitra most amongst the three queens of Dasrath. She made great sacrifices for Raghuvansh

The story of Shabri tells that we should not consider somebody as untouchable simply because he/she belongs to a particular cast. If Lord Himself did not consider Shabri as untouchable, then what gives us the authority to treat any caste as untouchable?
