but saying something to hint he had a thing for her earlier can’t be slip of tongue unless it means he meant he went thru all this emotions of love with aira and even though they are together , that love is lost and they are in because they are married 🙃 and he doesn’t want to go thru route with MJ but then pool scene 🤷‍♀️

Agreed. There's a difference between improvising to enhance a scene & changing the plot altogether. How can that be a slip of tongue that dar lagta hai pehle b kaha tha? Chalo even if you take out pehle b ek dafa kaha tha, "Dar lagta hai" is still an admission that he started liking her. How can he just say this & then we have romantic scenes after like pool scene & that window scene.. I think she didn't even watch the show & is just talking purely based on what she had written

Every actor has a dark spot in their career which they would be ashamed of forever. Mein might be that for Wahajsmiley36

I disagree. Zaid is nothing to be ashamed for. Everyone makes mistakes & they should own up. Yes, Zaid wasn't that impactful but from my perspective, he also played a character who was a very indecisive unlikable man. Not his fault completely that later on his screenspace reduced bcz originally this was about Asif & Zaid.

Even other actors who didn't really do few good roles, that's fine. Should have a mix of both good & bads. That's growth. Yes if someone repeatedly does this then you can question the judgement

I agree every actor does bad roles but Wahaj is being called the worst thing about Mein. Not only his acting, even his looks/styling are being ripped apart everywhere. His next project Sun Mere Dil has to be good .

Exactly, this is why her interview (or at least the parts concerning Mein) bothered me. It’s all based on what she wrote but clearly it wasn’t her vision in the first place, it was Badar’s so in the end the story is whatever he wanted to bring to life. It didn’t sound like she watched the show, maybe just parts of it. That line wasn’t just a slip of the tongue. It may have been added in later but Badar was definitely involved in it.

I always thought a director gets a script and adds some of their own changes. This isn’t the case here. It was always Badar’s vision using Zanjabeel to write a script accordingly, he changed the story wherever he thought necessary. I feel like her opinion isn’t relevant because everything was changed anyway. Who cares what the original script was when what we saw is something entirely different? They should have waited until the show is over to do the interview.

I think that’s unfair and people have been so harsh with him. Expectations were high because he was coming from such a high after TB. He was more sidelined than anything. I feel he did what he could with the role and his behaviour made sense for his character. I think people just wanted to see him in action. Everyone around him was an alpha except him.

Exactly, it's badars vision through and through...so if he shows zaid mj as endgame then I'm okay with it because we have been watching what he has directed and not what Zanjabeel has written so whatever she says now doesn't matter because a lot of tweaking has been done on set..and on top of that wahaj ayeza were promoted as leads so only to justify their promotion tactics they have to show zaid mj as the endgame thats what I feel.

The expectations went up as Zaid came right after MK. Murtasim the name sounded so powerful and thrown in his walk, shawls , aviators , the swag it became huge else character wise MK too had misses.

Zaid on other hand was as in middle of three dominant char and had to maintain the balance, had he been shown taking charge of things the show couldn’t progress but still it had so much potential without actually making any of char stupid .

If badar had made it obvious through the ost or posters or anything that a polygamy plot was coming up, nobody would watch.

Fact is his formula and marketing worked to the T. We all fell for it and the saddest thing is he didn’t even deliver on the story he WAS telling. He didn’t. We can fool ourselves into thinking that oh there’s some direction here but there’s literally none. The story is an amalgamation of twists and turns with no proper arcs. Not even redemption in a show about egos lol. Where is the growth ? Where are the developments in the so called love story? It’s a mess. Only justification for this is that it was just meant as some cheap domestic thriller and we got lured in by the marketing.

A single line in a 2 line scene is meaningless if it’s not explained or followed up with anything. Especially if not supported by the script. People either didnt get it or took it to mean something else or just moved on without registering it.

Don’t think this is Badar’s plan because if he had a plan there would be some follow up to that scene which we never ever got. It’s basically a lost line at this point. If it actually meant anything the last episode Zaid needs to bring it up. Otherwise it just meant something else I guess. The writer was kind of adamant and dismissive about zaid ever having had even a crush on MJ - and it’s supported by the narrative we see on screen. He’s never shown any liking … we even have MJ today saying “I know I was never your wish.”

Since writer worked so closely with Badar she could have said maybe or whatever but she was like no never this was never the case … so like 🤷‍♀️ it’s pretty obvious
