If Ayra leaves Zaid it will be relief for her because she never really loved him.

If MJ leaves Zaid it will be punishment for her because she actually loves him.

Ayra says it to her Bhabhi too that she loves him but she loves her self respect more. I don’t know what certificate is needed from her to prove her love here lol. She’s just been assaulted and her husband is failing her. How else is she supposed to react?

But yes , I think she will either leave Zaid herself which will be the relief thing the writer mentioned

or Zaid will leave his house for her and they’ll end up together away from Asif. Which fits the writer saying that Zaid will also leave Asif.

Let’s see. Badar might have changed things of course but I’m hopeful that whether with Ayra, Mj or by himself - Zaid ends up leaving Asif. That’s what I actually care about. Because how on earth is man supposed to live with someone who hid the fact that his wife was almost raped in his own house? Logically Zaid should leave that house at the end.

It makes no sense for him to still live there by the end of this drama

After the interview I’ve also realized there’s no symbolism here in this drama. It’s just Badar and his sensationalism. That’s it lol. The ring throwing is dramatic plus it had importance later on as Zaid is investigating and finds it on the floor. Which helps with the “Ayra was locked here” story

I’m not gonna expect anything deep here. Because a hundred times that woman in her interview talked about doing things for teasing the audience, for ratings, for views etc etc etc 🤦🏻‍♀️ She even admitted that the Turkey bits were 🍭

Husband shouldn’t say if this happened he should say , “tell me exactly what happened” - that’s the normal response. But yes I guess you’re right that he wanted to pace himself but Ayra was too worked up to just wait around for evidence. She wanted her word to be enough. She’s not wrong for expecting that. Trust is important after all. Which zaid has for her , it’s just that he didn’t say the right thing at the right time and it hurt her. She’s getting the time she wants to process it so that’s fine.

As for what Ayra has done for him, Bhabhi’s scene made that quite obvious. She kept him close to his family by moving there even though all of them were her enemies. Remember at one point when Ayra wanted to live separately? Eventually she compromised on that too. You can’t really compare her level of giving to Zaid’s because she’s had a dark history with that place and he hasn’t. She has a lot of baggage which he doesn’t. If she gets difficult it’s because of her insecurities in that place and how she’s coping with it. Ultimately she’s not the one who is planning to kick MJ out, it’s MJ who wants to kick Ayra out. It comes down to that.

You’re right about the hero moment. I guess they wanted to milk Zaid’s scenes a bit to reach to that climactic point. Which will then bring about the closures.

As for the fake wife drama, pretty obviously another Badar plot device to get Ayra into that locked door situation. He clearly wanted to get to the sexual assault scenario which he specially demanded from the writer 🤢 So anything to get there right lol. Also pretty sure zaid wont care even if he finds out. The crimes by the rest far outweigh anything foolish Ayra ever did

A woman who has been assaulted and has returned in full vigour for revenge is not traumatised and timid. We all know Ayra is capable of taking care of herself. And she expected this in the first place. 🤭 She manifested this already by predicting her saviour is silent. So she has come to see if saviour has grown a tongue, if not she knows exactly what to do. Zaid reacted slowly because it was too unexpected for him and Kash was demanding Justice too. He can't be harsh with her and jump the gun. He only asked for time. Ayra expected dhamakedaar drama, Zaid works silently.

She compromised on not living separately only because bhaabhi advised her. Not that her behaviour changed in any way after that. Where she should have been patient she went and joined the rivals. No compromise there. No trauma also when she gets the car and feels victorious ignoring Zaid's feelings because she never feels for him. That's a fact.

If she loves her self respect more she has absolutely no reason to stay with Zaid. She should move. If she loves him more, she can stay. Let her prove that.

Asif doesn't care about Ayra as Zaid's wife. She's some girl from the street for him. And it was attempt and he warned Rayaan. And he will be punished by Kash for hiding this. No idea if Zaid will leave him too. There's too much packed into next episode.

I'm not so much for symbolism as such but this one was staring and why not use it to further the story too.

Not watched the interview, so no idea about lollipops ratings etc

But obviously romantic scenes between the leads have a fan base - why not milk it...

The drama makes more sense to me after watching the interview. A lot of what I’m saying is validated by the writer. And another important thing she said was that they created the plot for 4 episodes at a time. Then moved on to the next 4 etc.

I feel that’s why the tone of the last episodes are so different than the Turkey ones. It does honestly feel like they had one plot device and expanded on that for 4 episodes. For example the Ayra joining rivals/contract thing, then the Turkey trip/ Asif vs Ayra at home, and last 4 deal with the attempted sexual assault which is the climax. So Badar basically picked what would grip the audience and get ratings and kind of worked his characters around that. That’s why the story is so haphazard and seems disjointed. It’s not character driven but scenario driven.

Zanjabeel talked about how writing is now more technical in terms of gripping the audience and keeping them guessing rather an an organic story which is driven by characters. Mein is not a character driven story. It’s based on dramatic scenarios one after another - with some twists happening every 3-4 episodes which goes in line with how Zanjabeel and Badar planned it.

She didn’t say she doesn’t love him. She just said she can’t go back to the house where she was almost assaulted and locked up. Makes sense.

So let’s see what Zaid will decide. If she still wants to be with him and he’s pissed at asif , he can leave.

But if this trust issue she’s created is some big dealbreaker for Ayra she might call it quits. Any character can do anything in this drama lol

Agree about the lack of screen time. Too much needs to be sorted. I feel we will probably get one big Zaid Ayra conversation and one Zaid MJ one.
Zaid will probably deal with the rest collectively at the dinner party … If we are lucky maybe a Zaid Kashmala scene but I’m not counting on it. The writer basically forgot they were siblings until last episode lol

I’ll just agree to disagree on a lot in there lol.

But one thing is interesting. Ayra sometimes gets irritated with Zaid because he’s weak as much as we get irritated by him for those exact reasons 😂 I get where she’s coming from lol

Being divided like that, you’re obviously unable to give your all to one person. It’s very human and realistic. I just felt that he wouldn’t be in that situation had Ayra not forced him back. Why was Zaid so mean to MJ though? Not accepting the marriage is one thing but he was mean. I know she was bossy with him at times but her vulnerabilities were shown too. Maybe she wasn’t supposed to have some of those empathizing qualities to her. Or they needed to give Zaid more lines to explain his behaviour. Otherwise I’m going to assume she was just a soft target. Also I think maybe he was aware of how she treated her ex-husband and didn’t want to turn into that. Whatever some explanation from him would clarify this. I was okay with Zaid not having lines up until a certain point - I thought it was effective actually. It’s just the last episode left and it’s isn’t enough time to get his whole POV.

To answer some of these she said

1. Some part of the script is missing when it comes to Zaid. She said she doesn’t begrudge them cutting it out but it would have helped us go easy on Zaid a bit.

2. the scenes with the psychiatrist were in the script. It wasn’t something Ayeza added. It was always there.

3. From her pov it looks like the title Mein is based on just Asif’s Mein and MJ’s Mein. She didn’t mention Ayra or Zaid’s Mein even once.( Even though she did mention the fake wife plot but only in terms of how shocked Asif was about it 😂)

Also again she mentioned that if someone ends up alone it doesn’t necessarily mean a bad thing. It could be relief - applicable to both MJ and Ayra. Or ending up alone can be punishment too (Asif, Zaid, MJ). MJ I feel is a bit of both because she’ll finally be out of a loveless marriage (relief) but it’s also a kind of defeat too (her plans didn’t work - punishment).

A few things I picked up on in the drama were star power weighing down the direction. This is not against any actor so fans do not pounce on me. There had to be information on how Zaid reacted to Ayra being fired because of blackmailing but that scene wasn't given to Zaid but they gave us a scene of MJ getting ready for the dinner. What is the significance of that scene? We wanna see Ayeza's clothes?

Zaid was staring at MJ and Asif after returning with Ayra, could have been a shining moment for him but again edited out

Another scene we needed was Zaid telling Ayra about Turkey trip, why Ayra wasn't picking up his phone calls, how he explained it to her, everything was edited out

So we know how important scenes of Zaid were cut to give this unnecessary love chemistry a chance which on paper had no space. Too many important scenes of Zaid didn't make it

Take 2

MJ's bipolar disorder wasn't written by the writer. Both Ayeza and the writer came across as ignorant to me in the interview, Ayeza for telling everyone that MJ has this disorder without writer specifically mentioning in the story and writer not knowing what bipolar disorder is. Writer wrote therapy sessions for MJ but not Bipolar disorder.
