kiara & kriti are doing really well..they are both pretty..decent to good actresses and are the rare full package heroines currently..it has already been 10 years to them in BW and they still have the freshness intact..

Hum Tum, Salaam Namaste, and Ta Ra Rum Pum (my fav movies of his) all have major roles for the female characters equivalent to the male roles. In fact, more people remember Rani and Preity from those movies than Saif. His quality of films has gone down since then. His RK films were both atrocious and I have not cared for his spy/war films since then although I enjoyed Fighter and think that's been the best of his recent films. It's very hard for me to believe that these latest films are made by the same person who made Hum Tum and Salaam Namaste because all his action films have very little roles for the female leads. War is the best example where Vaani is basically a cameo with maybe 20 minutes of screentime, if even. And Ghungroo is half of that screentime.

That's true, remember that even in Saawariya, Rani got the most accolades from any of the cast despite only having a supporting performance. I don't know why Bhansali wasted her in a supporting role. One would think after Black, he'd have more leading roles lined up and ready for her. Bhansali's track record with how he treats his actors has not been a stellar one since it seems he's just about offended them all between Salman, Aishwarya, SRK, Deepika, and now Ranveer.

Pathaan and Jawan were successes for her but Fighter seems to have not resonated except overseas. I think the public is tired of these action/spy movies. I agree with you, holding out hope that KJo and daughter both experience every calamity possible. Both of them need to be knocked down from their pedestal.

she is doing exactly that... expressing her personality... with roles that mainly require kissing and flashing legs. Problem for her now is the audience has gotten bored of the same act.

agree. We can't blame Deepu rani for doing those item numbers... and trying to survive. Everyone needs to make two ends meet.

The day Deepika became serious again, alot of stars' PR will have to work overtime . She's in complacent mode RN, baaki just wait n watch SRK & DP will come in package deal for quite some time so no she ain't going anywhere

What I don't understand is why she hasn't 'fought back'...she was no.1 actress when Alia arrived,kjo started pushing for her and convincing other makers to cast her in movies,lobbying for awards etc...they took away from her career,her longevity as the no.1 actress...and she never fought back with her whole might??
