No it is not their fav some people genuinely do find the Kapoor lad overrated and there was nothing that great about Aloo's performance in RARKPK this year either.

I have also read the comments on Neetu Kapoor's post. And all the threads on reddit. It goes beyond Ranbir-SRK fan war. Although I am sure that might be a part of it.

RK's win got tainted because of Alia. RK did get a lot of appreciation for the film. Even from people who otherwise hated the film. The same cannot be said about Alia. She created zero to nothing buzz with her performance. This was 20 times worse than Kriti winning FF .

Indians are just too star-struck; they prioritize the stars over the movies. The only award everyone looks forward to is the Best Actor, unlike Oscars where Best Film is the highlight. In 2022, the top contenders for Best Actress at the Oscars were Kristen Stewart and Olivia Colman. Fans were mostly rooting for Stewart, but the unexpected winner turned out to be Jessica Chastain. People were sad but there was no significant outrage over it and no one hurled abuses at Jessica for winning. The real uproar is always directed at films like CODA and The Green Book winning. People were furious when these two films won. Films are valued and considered bigger than the stars in them.

Filmfare did well by awarding the Best Film and some other technical categories. I particularly agreed with the Best Cinematography win for Three of Us. The cinematographer did an incredible job capturing the essence of that village with their cinematography. It had some amazing shots, and some felt like moving vintage paintings. However, all these awards barely matter. The only ones that seem to count at Filmfare are the Best Actor awards.
