Ranbir was brilliant in Animal and i am glad he won. I have not come across a single person who has not liked ranbir in the movie..he was top notch..No movie makes 1000cr globally based on controvery..it needs acceptance from audience to hit this number..and the acceptance was there..

I feel both Ranbir and Alia perfectly fit whatever criteria Filmfare has for winning the Popular Best Actor awards. Out of the seven films from KJo, four have bagged the Best Actress lead. The heroines of Bhansali's films usually secure the Best Actress Popular too. Unless there's another 'universally' loved performance from a hit film, these director-heroines tend to get the award. Maybe if Barfi or ADHM were released this year, Alia's win might seem unfair, but the truth is there weren't stronger performances in the popular category. Rani's nomination itself was biased.

Forget toxic masculinity and misogyny

The movie was so cringe. The dialogues were so bad . Ranbir 's same as he was in Sanju . Loud crapfest .

Can you stop trying to deny the very obvious public outrage against this. We have all seen it across so many different social media platforms, stop blaming Katrina or SRK fans. I am mostly in the woke category. But i watch all kind of movies. I started watching this because I like Ranbir. I watch crappy movie just to laugh. So even if I don’t find Animal a good movie, i can easily watch it. I may not like it. But i could have completed it. But this using pappa a 100 times in a single conversation was too much to me. Plenty of movies with Salman Khan movies have been blockbusters too. Acceptance from the audience and a good performance are two different things. Saas Bahu regressive content sells very well on tv too. Of course misogynistic content will also sell. And Ranbir was is usual overrated, bad fast dialogue delivery and repetitive facial expression self in that movie. And no way he deserved it over Vicky and Vikrant. And Sam Bahudar was also a hit btw. Not as big because it would require brains and interest in history.
