Dhanraj is Govind-Rajani's elder son? Really?

It makes absolutely no sense to me that Dhanraj could be Govind and Rajani's elder son.

Since the very beginning of the series, Agastya hated poor people all because he felt his elder brother which is Dhanraj was cheated by a poor woman and in almost all of his conversations about Dhanraj, he addressed him as his own brother and not a cousin brother.

Other than Agastya, even Annapurna, Alka and Sonali addressed Dhanraj as Kunal and Alka's son.

Plus, it was never shown that Rajani-Govind mourned for Dhanraj's demise while it was Annapurna, Agastya and Alka who always mourned over Dhanraj's death.

Rajani-Govind always gave hints of Karan as their son, they never had even hinted of Shivani. I guess Shivani also was a later inclusion to introduce Vishwa's family.

In almost all of Agastya's flashbacks with Dhanraj, he recollected the bond they shared and how Dhanraj was always a father figure to him and it was Dhanraj-Agastya's bond which connected Agastya to Ashu.

Even in Dhanraj-Kairi's accident segment, Dhanraj kept his hand on Kairi's belly and said that his child will first connect with his younger brother Agastya. Why Dhanraj never mentioned about Karan then?

Also, there was a scene where Imastya are supposed to be preserving one pair of the same shoe which was probably given to them by Dhanraj-Kairi who are supposed to be their own siblings not cousins (the shoe ressembled a lot with the masked man killer's shoes )

Unfortunately, I do not remember the episode numbers of all these events.

Now all of a sudden Dhanraj is supposed to be Rajani and Govind's son?

This is why I said Imastya's backstory especially Dhanraj-Kairi-Ashu track is a huge mess.

I hope the CVs don't create weird tracks at this moment contradicting to what they had shown earlier!!

I personally felt the actors who played Dhanraj-Kairi looked more like Imastya's younger siblings and not as their elder siblings. Ghazi and Laxmi do look younger than Saija and if Dhanraj is Karan's elder brother then he is supposed to be atleast 10-12 years older than Agastya!!

I didn't remember the episode number but in one episode Dadi addressed Dhanraj as Govind and chachi 's son.

You didn't mention one huge facet of Dhanaraj's identity: the family business, in which Gattu and Jugnu always mentioned Dhanaraj as the middle link. Chaudhary Sweets is the legacy of Annapurna -> Kunal -> Dhanaraj.

There was never any question of Govind or Manno running the business. When the family started to mention Karan, and then Karan and Shivani arrived, they had nothing to do with the business. Only Sonali and Gattu-come-lately were considered as successors to Kunal and Dhanaraj.

Ghazi Imaan (Dhanaraj) is ~5 years younger than Sai Ketan Rao (Gattu), but it doesn't bother me because Dhanaraj's life was cut short 6 years ago and Gattu grew into a wig since the cremation scene. Laxmi Kushwaha (Kairi) doesn't look at all younger than Adrija Roy (Imlie^3), in my opinion.

If any age difference matters, it's that Sai Ketan Rao is ~5 years older than Adrija Roy, and her teeth, freckles, and petite body also make Imlie^3 look younger than Gattu. Gautam Handa (Karan) doesn't look older than Sai Ketan Rao. Ultimately, an actor's real-life age isn't important.

On Nov 26th episode Dadi said to Imlie that Dhanraj was Govind 'son and he was younger than Karan

Hain Dhanraj is Govind’s son I thought he was Alka’s son which is why she was so stroppy.

Thank you for the reference. I went back and listened to the line, and I heard Annapurna saying, "कुणल के छोटे बेटे धनराज ने ..." (mispronouncing Kuṇala instead of Kuṇāla). Before that, Annapurna mentioned Kunal's death, and there was a reaction shot of Imlie^3 in between.

So, Ekktaa Bp Singh (Annapurna) was delivering one line per shot, and it's possible that she was prompted incorrectly or said "कुणल" (or "गोविन्द" if you insist you heard it) instead of "कुणाल" by mistake, and nobody had time to correct it.

The word choṭe could mean that Dhanaraj was a child, not that he was Kunal's younger child (younger than Sonali who once referred to him as Dhanaraj Bhaiyā) ... or Govind's younger son ... or Govind's youngest child, making Shivani older than Gattu!

Do those who heard "Govinda ke choṭe beṭe Dhanarāja ne" believe one line or all the scenes of Alaka grieving? Does Mira's accusation that Kunal used her all along to beget a son mean that Kunal didn't already have a son? If he was that cunning, wouldn't he do it for a spare as much as for an heir?

When Rajani told the story, Kunal was a naïf who only "spent the night" with Mira once because she drugged him. Mira tells the story as if Kunal faked his attraction to her just to make a male baby.

Does anyone seriously believe that Kunal took the risk of another daughter when he was a rich man with access to in vitro sex selection, foreign surrogate, whatever method to obtain a son?

Hello In yesterday episode Meera mentions that kunal wanted baby boy from her because Alka had only daughter sonali so kunal kidnap agsthy n bring her home with him
