my dad said that Agnipariksha part was there cause the Sita Ravan kidnapped wasn't the original one, it was her shadow and the real Sita went away with Agni dev just before Ravan came so, he hit two birds with one stone, got Sita back and made sure that none of them could question her

I thought that was the later version....in Valmiki Ramayan Ravan kidnapped Sita for real , he didn't kidnap her shadow

I will disagree to the fact that Sita Maa was his praja, she was not, she was his queen, equal of him in every sense, as a queen it was her duty to share his responsibilities, even if I don't believe uttarkand is real ( Valmiki doesn't mention it and Ramcharitmans which is the next most believable version, atleast from where I come, is written in 16th century, under the Islamic rule, you can't think that nobody would have modified it to suit their narratives) And even if we believe uttarkand, Sita was the one who took the decision to go away so Ram's respect can stay intact, I won't even talk about Ram as a king, but as a husband only, he said he will also go with her but sita refused by saying that people will look down upon him that he left his people for his wife, it was solely Sita's decision and Ram agreed with that half heartedly, but reverse the case for a second what if it was a Ram's decision to leave the palace and go to forest without Sita (not that she would have let him go alone), would not you have respected the fact and said it was not sita's fault, the only mistake of Ram's was he never told it was sita who took the decision, he took the blame upon himself, he never let her bore the brunt, it was him who shielded her from the accusing glances and taunts of the world, at the end everyone says Ram is wrong, he is a bad husband, he protected Sita's honour at the cost of his respect, if this doesn't show his maryada, his love, I don't know what does

Where did you read it was Sita Mata's decision? Just curious to know if I missed something in both Ramayana books 🤔As I have not yet read Uttarkand fully but only points and summary

And yess absolutely the people who does belive in Uttarkand also respects Ram ji a lot because till now every time fingers are raised only Ram ji never on Sita Mata integrity or character because of this decision

Sita mata though Queen still comes below Ram ji in position of power as at that time only Kings were considered the ruler and Queens were King's wife that shall be respected. Like modern times in US Trump was the president and his wife was First Lady. Ayodhya people didn't respected their Queen which hurted Ram ji a lot, he chose not to leave with Sita Mata because he knew no one else would claim the throne and Ayodhya will again become a country with no ruler and this time blame will come on Siya Maa and everyone will question her. I am just curious if we consider uttrakhand authentic what was the stance of women at that time with this decision of Ram ji.

Bold - Yup exactly 😞, I really wish people of that time should've fought a little harder with Invaders, aaj humara pura culture pure and untouched hota. The invasions are the worst thing happened in Indian History and all because of greed and dirty politics
