It depends on what the yugas mentioned. I believe in tretayuga, it's 14 years in which if the king doesn't return after the vanvas, his right to rule is gone. Why did Kaikeyi ask for14 yrs vanvass only? What was the reason?

I didn’t see romance .. I don’t like to use this word personally. It was pure love full of admiration and respect.
All three brothers and sisters didn’t utter a word during ritual - they just smiled seeing each other - Ab itna bhi na dikhaye to kaise lagega - shaadi kar rahe hai ya jung mein ja rahe hain
Ramji and Sitaji gave samman to each other through words while collecting sand
I loved how they are showing Sneh between different relationships

I agree dear all the scenes between couples were beautiful ❤️

Ohh didn't knew that 😲
Intresting
I heard of this tale too. It was publicly announced. No, Bharat came to chitrakoot to take them back, he even said he will starve himself to death if Ram doesn't agree to go back to Ayodhya, he said this in front of everyone, sita was also there so why would she say this, infact only she, Ram and kaushalaya were sure that Bharat won't accept the kingdom
And she said that Lakshman fell in love with her that's why he is not going to help Ram so that he can marry her
I mean, that's what I've heard tbh. And the kingdom can be regained upon some war or something but not as some birthright. Tbh, there are so many versions that I don'r even comment anymore. 😂 But I think that's what's mentioned in the ayodhya kaand tbh.

Is that why Pandavas were also given 13 years excile?
I would love to know what all texts you've read, do share ❤️
There is no such rule as far as I know, like if a girl gets married and leave her house, she still has the rights on her ancestral property, plus no character mentions the fact that Ram won't inherit the kingdom after 14 years their only problem was he will be away for 14 yearsOriginally posted by: vaidharbhi95
There is a show in epic channel called Legends of Ramayan by Amish in which he said that the reason of 14 years is because if u stay away from a land for 14 years then u no longer can claim rights to it .
Similarly in Mahabharat to the excile is around 13 years . Kuch aisa rule hota hoga
I understand your concern, but being Maryada Purushottam doesn't mean he can't show his love for his wife, he loved her very much and was always expressive about the fact, throughout the period of sita khoj, he did not forget to tell Lakshman what Sita means to him, he was always confessing his love for her
I just told same thing in this thread page 27 - yes, it is too much romanticizing...
people watching ramayan are not here for that... and Ram was famous as 'maryada purushotam' - looks awkward to watch them eye contacting half of the episode or even talking to each other that frequently - like 21st century!!
If it was Krishna - we can accept a bit , but not this level
I will disagree to the fact that Sita Maa was his praja, she was not, she was his queen, equal of him in every sense, as a queen it was her duty to share his responsibilities, even if I don't believe uttarkand is real ( Valmiki doesn't mention it and Ramcharitmans which is the next most believable version, atleast from where I come, is written in 16th century, under the Islamic rule, you can't think that nobody would have modified it to suit their narratives) And even if we believe uttarkand, Sita was the one who took the decision to go away so Ram's respect can stay intact, I won't even talk about Ram as a king, but as a husband only, he said he will also go with her but sita refused by saying that people will look down upon him that he left his people for his wife, it was solely Sita's decision and Ram agreed with that half heartedly, but reverse the case for a second what if it was a Ram's decision to leave the palace and go to forest without Sita (not that she would have let him go alone), would not you have respected the fact and said it was not sita's fault, the only mistake of Ram's was he never told it was sita who took the decision, he took the blame upon himself, he never let her bore the brunt, it was him who shielded her from the accusing glances and taunts of the world, at the end everyone says Ram is wrong, he is a bad husband, he protected Sita's honour at the cost of his respect, if this doesn't show his maryada, his love, I don't know what doesOriginally posted by: RamAayeHain
Bold - you answered it yourself 🤷 and still stand firm on my saying this didn't happened, they ruled together 🤷
He cannot put personal life above praja's wish, Sita mata was his praja as well , he didn't eliminated the problem because problem didn't occurred at the first place due to Agni pariksha 🤷
