Religious sites should be open only to their practicing followers. Not even people of other sects, much less other religions. This is not a tourist spot, and nor should it be: it is a pilgrim spot for people who very specifically believe in Lord Ram. It's bad enough that people like Iqbal Ansari, who contested the Hindu claims in court, were invited while the family of the "friend of the deity" in court Triloki Nath Pandey, wasn't invited. And then they invited a whole bunch of celebrities while overlooking some of the major figures of the movement in the 90s

Sadly? Kohli has been one of the celebrities ranting against Diwali fireworks the last few years. I'm pretty glad that someone who doesn't consider the festival important stayed away: he shouldn't even have gotten the invitation. Cricket would have been better served by someone like Venkatesh Prasad, who is pretty devout & would have been more appropriate for this occasion

What the Khans did was perfectly appropriate. Since they are still practicing muslims, this event didn't concern them, so they said nothing about it, and stayed away

Yeah, it was inappropriate to invite Ranbir Kapoor, unless he happens to have given up beef since he made that statement about being the "big beef guy from Peshawar"

As nothing was unconstitutional it was made after the decision of the Court.

I think they were protesting against leading govt figures like Modi, Yogi and Anandiben Patel being there, rather than the court decision which happened 5 years ago

See my posts there.. I also mentioned Kashi and Mathura… smiley37

Except that the Sangh parivar opposes Kashi & Mathura. If you want that, there's a new party launched last year called Ekam Sanatan Bharat, which has a 7 point manifesto. One of them is the repeal of the Places of Worship Act of 1991 as well as the Waqf Act, the latter which declares all of India Waqf property. If that ever happens, the door is open for all 40,000 mosques that were built after demolishing 🛕 for being reclaimed

Venkatesh Prasad was invited and he went there

He had also posted his videos chanting Jai Sri Ram

One of the most unapologetic celebrities...

Though my favorite cricketer has been Anil Kumble forever yet I am now more at awe over VP

As for your last line - To perceive something u do require a form. To experience something you may not.

Not that again!

Hinduism is the worship of deities mentioned in either the Vedas or the Puranas. The 33 types of gods in the Vedas, or the double-trinity in the Puranas - Brahma+Vishnu+Shiva ++ Saraswati+Lakshmi+Parvati (or their many variants depending on region)

Anything else is different. Jainism, Buddhism & Sikhism all detracted from the worship of the above, and are therefore separate faiths in their own right

All belong to the dharmaic family of religions as they began in India, but that's about it

I belong to one parivaar. Sanatan Dharm ;). I have no political affiliations and do what is right :). Glorious India Rising (4th largest stock market, 5th largest economy headed to 3rd and so on). So I don’t want any change to that trajectory. :)

I appreciate the advise :). Humarey laaala beerajmaan hain aur sab saheee disha (direction) mein jaaa rahaaan hain. We believe in one thing. Jab neeemeet hogeee cheezey tab hogeee. Example hain Hamas ka decimation happening in our lives as story of Good Conquers Evil just like being able to see our Ram laaala on his abode ❤️❤️❤️. Ghar laut aaye humareey Laal and we got to receive those blessings by seeing it live. Aur kya heen mangooo mein ab Prabhu se :).

aur topic ko address kartey hain. Kya aapney Mithun das ko delhaaa Ayodhya mein. I didn’t pay attention to celebs except here and there as mera focus was on ceremony. Hence this topic was interesting to see kaun ayaaa aur naheen. Tho I still don’t really care about that. smiley42
