He promised Priyanka multiple movies as well if she did Bajirao Mastani for him and none of those panned out. Thank goodness this has been shelved. He can bring it back later on with a better actress. A real actress I should say.

If true, either he's decreased the budget by at least 150cr or he's found a producer who really wants to lose money. There's no logical reason he needs a 350cr budget.

Different rumours are flying around, I dont think the budget will be 350 crs as the film doesn't seem to require such a big budget, the only expensive thing for the film will be the sets, which he has had in his previous films aswell. This film won't need fight sequences or heavy vfx either.

And slb is known to put out articles to get people talking about his films, I wouldn't he surprised if he is the one who put out the article about it being put on hold just to get people talking about baiju

He can still make the film. Just change the casting. Damn Rocky aur Rani’s failure has really hit em hard. No worries though because we will be giving Alia the BA award for damage control
