Well, the topic is about the global BO. Indian Cinema comprising of 5 huge individual film industries, is able to muster only 1.9 billion.
The ideal way would be to compare volume and not value. Or adjust the value for purchasing parity. It will still be smaller but it would be a more realistic picture. Mind you US is stagnant while India is a growing market.
