So filmfare award is for RANBIT KAPOOR
Yes sir/madam, we understand the meaning of the award but a lot of times awards given have not matched our expectations so there's a lot of analysis on those past awards and it influences our predictions for future awards.

You're right! I think they came up with the 'Power Award' in 2004 which SRK won in 2004(with AB Sr I think) and 2005 for his continuos big hit films. (Though Swades wasn't a hit domestically, it was still considered a landmark movie & was a big hit overseas). Let's see what award they come up with this year.
Btw, nominations are still not out.

Your favourites are now one step closer to winning the Black Lady!
Stay tuned for the nominations list.
It worked for me tbh. I remember 4-5 years later(during the pandemic lockdowns) after watching the movie and not liking it, I was looking for something and saw an IMDB rating of 7.3 for Tamasha, something which is very high for Indian movies. (For context, Jawan is 7 and RARKPK is 6.7). So I read about it, and that's when I read about the BPD part. Had so much free time then, so watched it with that context and loved it.
Its good to know that about Aap Mujhe..so when I watch it for the first time, it'll help me understand it better. I filter 99% of what Kangana says as she says so much more than the actual topic that's important.
Yes, there are many such. Javed Akhtar and Farhan Akhtar in one interview said "There have been only 2 landmarks in Bollywood music history - first was RD Burman and second was AR Rahman". I wont bore people by sending all these links as there are 100s :) Just sending a last one for members who are not aware of the politics of music industry and Bollywood in general. Sonu himself was banned for several years for taking a stand. What a loss for us that a voice like that was suppressed! Glad that he's singing at least some songs again now.

Let's hope the nominations come out soon. Eagerly looking forward this year as SRK is back!
Didn't he also get something like entertainer of the decade in 2010 or 2011? I don't remember the exact name but he got something honoring his work from the 2000s as well I think unless I'm mixing it up with another awards ceremony.
Hopefully nominations will be out soon.
That's surprising that Tamasha has such high IMDB reviews because it got a lot of mixed and negative reviews when it came out. Especially due to high expectations because of the cast and director. I guess this film resonated with people dealing with mental illness in their families or loved ones.
Yes, Ameesha's character has asthma so when she has over-the-top reactions and panic attacks, it's because of her asthma. The explanation of this was cut from the movie so audiences could not understand and rejected the film. Honestly it's not a very good film though. It's a lot like Love Love Love, Aamir and Juhi's movie, about a girl with a gangster family who falls in love with a boy who the family rejects. Both have to run away to be together. Love Love Love and Aap Mujhe were both created to capitalize on the stardom and overwhelming success of QSQT and Kaho Naa Pyaar Hai respectively but whereas Love Love Love was still a hit (not as huge as QSQT and not as well received but still did well), Aap Mujhe was a huge flop and Hrithik's career was dwindling at the time because of enormous flops like this.
Thanks for that last link as well. I definitely was not aware of all the politics that go on in the music industry so it's all quite revealing to me.

That individual is a troll. The same user using multiple accounts. You can tell because all her accounts are new, have no profile pic, use similar language and emojis to bump old threads to pick on the actors they hate like Katrina, Vicky, Deepika, Aishwarya, and SRK. Mainly focusing on women (so this user is a misogynist) like Katrina, Deepika, and Aishwarya so sometimes you may see this user post in 2-3 different accounts back to back in order to bump negative threads about these actors. Ironically enough, she doesn't even hate Aishwarya, she just knows I like her and hates how I keep exposing her false accounts on here, that's why she's targeting Aishwarya and to a lesser extent, Shilpa Shetty.
Thanks for confirming. I do hope there are some surprise nominations as well who in the past have been snubbed by Filmfare.

Oh thanks for that info. I'll not bother replying in the future then.

Yes, I remember some 'Performer/Entertainer of the decade' award but think that was Zee Cine or IIFA but its a blurr. Don't remember clearly.
I was watching the '10 years of Rockstar' video/pod, in which Ranbir mentions, after Tamasha was done, Imtiaz Ali said to him "I've made a movie which is slightly ahead of time. People will love and understand the movie 3-4 years from now." Funny how things happen. Yes, those must have been the people the film resonated with the most. The time I watched it again, mental health/illness was at the forefront in the pandemic especially after SSR's passing away.
Yes, the movie never appealed me to go out of the way and watch it after I missed it during its release. I'll still try with this context thanks! Yes, I think Aap Mujhe.. and Main Prem ki..are often highlighted when people talk about the years Hrithik was going through a slump.

Sure enough, she just created a new Shilpa Shetty thread to hate on her lol.

It may have been Zee Cine or IIFA because those shows are also known for making up awards if they want to honor someone or get publicity.
Yes, I think Tamasha fits that bill quite clearly. It also came out before Bollywood's reckoning with drugs, depression, mental illness, and SSR's passing. I feel like if it had come out during that time or right after, it would have been treated very differently.
You are not missing much if you skip that movie. I only watched it as a Hrithik/Amisha fan and even then, I couldn't stomach it. What a shame that this was their only other movie together. While Aamir and Juhi's Love Love Love was pretty horrible, at least they had Hum Hain Rahi Pyar Ke and Ishq which were much better follow-ups. Hrithik and Amisha were never paired together again except Main Hoon Na was originally supposed to feature them instead of Zayed Khan and Amrita Rao. Once Hrithik's stardom got too big, he didn't want to do a supporting role next to SRK again.
Apparently SRK fan called Ram Sharma leaked the movie online https://x.com/salmanicarman/status/1906265773946880184?s=46...
