Thank God Abhinav came. The story was about Akshu's journey. It doesn't matter with whom. Abhimanyu was important because he was Akshu's love interest which changed under dire circumstances. Abhinav's character was needed and much appreciated. Yes it would have been better if Abhimanyu didn't behave the way he did. But I am glad after everything, Akshara chose to move on. Going back to someone who broke your heart and left you in your worst is like handling your killer the very weapon you will be killed with. Abhimanyu changed and I had hoped Akshu to have a happy ending with him. But that doesn't diminish Abhinav's importance.
