Saif Ali Khan, he somehow has done best work as supporting cast!

Yes, outside of the YRF films like Salaam Namaste and Hum Tum, I don't think he works well as a lead actor. He's best in supporting roles like KHNH and Dil Chahta Hai. There's a reason that despite the Khan name, he could never establish himself as one of the Khans.

Those films didn't launch him as a superstar though. And his films since then have mostly failed with some exceptions like Love Aaj Kal and Cocktail.

Also in Ek Haseena Thi, he got good reviews but that was Urmila's movie all the way and she walked away with it. Similarly with Parineeta, that was Vidya's debut and that film is more remembered now for her performance that launched her as an actress rather than Saif. And even with Parineeta's success, Saif did not have enough stardom to get the movie taken to the Oscars as SRK's Paheli was chosen instead to represent India.

I wrote Saif Ali Khan's best work. Others can also do good work, which is great. Movies are team work.

Yes, that's true then. When I think of Saif's best work, I think of most of the same films you listed.
