LOL I think I said the same actor that played Mahadev in RK plays Indra in Shiv Shakti so you might have misread
......I doubt Shiv Shakti wala Mahadev has time to do Mahadev in another show since woh Shiv Shakti wala part is a full time job.
I did misread. Mujhe laga ek hi production house hai to simultaneously he would play this too as a narrator.
True about the makeup/costumes....they are relatively simpler compared to other recent Swastik mytho shows.....even though some of the styling is similar with how they always use body paint art for the female goddesses.....lol woh RK ke time se chal raha hai inka in every show. And yeh flowers in the hair wala styling for Sita I think they used in RK as well as the Luv Kush show
.....even the Shiv Shakti wala show has this similar styling for Parvati.
I think they did the most atrangi costume and makeup thing in Shiv Shakti initially and then they did tone down a bit. The Rakshas side of the clan is the most OTT in that. Lets see how they proceed in this one.
Also did you notice that Lanka wala set has some parts similar to Daksh ka palace in the Sati phase of Shiv Shakti?
I did not, but now you mention it I see it:)
Re: Shiv Strota....I didn't know the backstory of that and I was like wow Raavan composed that? lol cuz I'd heard that chant in so many shows and movies before this but never knew that Raavan is credited with writing it......and yes, they depicted that whole scene of Raavan's arrogance being crushed and how he turns into a devotee of Mahadev very well.
For some reason I remember the random stuff, I think Ramanand Sagars Raavan played by Arvind Trivedi recited the Stotra in Ramayan, so I remembered he is the one who created it. That is why its so annoying when the shows just making him some caricaturish villain only.
Re: curse and boon.....oh I sort of understood it as Dashrath realizing that there is a boon hidden within the curse he was given.....for him to feel the pain of seperation from his son, he had to first HAVE a son...lol.....so that is why it so came to be.....and yes other than that, Rishi Vashisht explained it nicely that Dashrath's actions after killing Shravan in not trying to cover up his mistake but atoning for it stopped it from becoming a crime.
Oh thats what I meant that the shraap sort of turned out to be an Aashirwaad for him. I like that actor who plays Rishi Vashishta , he has this smiling face which lends softness to his demeanor.
Re: Kaikayi....lol oh that's Shilpa Saklani....woh uska khud ka hi hai that she always has makeup caked on and puts on lenses.....lol
Thats why she looked familiar

Re: snake around Mahadev's neck.....LOL I was laughing over that too that first time they've tried to go for a CGI snake instead of the usual puppet version they put around his neck in every show. It's frankly distracting seeing that moving snake around his neck....lol isse achha toh still puppet hi rehne dete no matter how fake it looks
.....maybe later on they will revert back to the puppet version and bas initial epis mein CGI show off kar rahe hain
Lol good to know, I thought why have I not noticed this before, in SS or RK . As you said its pretty distracting. Its like there are 3 people in a conversation, as I imagine him to be the actor who played the Naag in SS during their marriage.
I hope so they revert to the stationary one although they did a good job with CGI one.
Haha yes, Raavan's dad bechara only showed up to get his feet washed and then usko get out kar diya Raavan ne
.....I also found it fascinating to learn that Lanka ancestrally belonged to the Rakshas and Raavan's maternal grandfather was the previous king before Yakshas took over the throne and Kuber started ruling. That was part of Raavan's grudge that Rakshas were stripped of a throne that rightfully belonged to them....and spending so many years in austerity added to that bitterness and thirst for revenge and power that they depicted right from his childhood.
Seriously???? So I missed the most important part? I just got the part that Raavan was rightfully mad that they had to live such an extreme life in poverty and hardship. Considering his dad was the king of Lanka.
I did not realize it belonged to Raavans maternal grand mother .
Going to catch up on other episodes:)
