Nahin yaar, Rakshas is basically the Hindi word for “demon”…Rakshas is a race, a species if you will. And Raavan was of demon blood from his maternal side. His father was a holy sage (rishi). Also, he was born with the name “Dashanan” cuz he had 10 heads. Mahadev gave him the name “Raavan” according to some legends and that is what they showed in this show also. That Raavan got this name cuz of the painful cry he let out when Mahadev shattered his arrogance.

Rakshas were a species that existed alongside the gods and other Demi-god species of the time who were always in conflict over power and control.

Now i have seen the episode and I really liked the end half it really took off there and felt like the og days and the gifs dp8ng full justice to the og Dev Tara and their connection ..I loved thay ankahi feeling and connection..the way dev looks in her eyes did that slight ishara from his eyes in the first gif the concern the madness yet extreme softness for her as in they are 1 in her plight there he is hurting for her halal and then the way he switches tk how dare them touch Deva ki biwi and bhai yeh chappal slaps are as I was saying legendary ek dum Maha awesome hain mere ko tih issi se itne Dino ka bhadhaas nikal gaya dekh ke mast on replay..the way he takes her chappal off so softly and starts his chappal parade I have a new fav competing with the iconic ganna parade I also liked how toofani his silent anger was one could see the lava boiling inside slightly ubbal aata but the way he was composing himself not to make a typical scene taking chakkars round and round before giving him the chappal prasad👌👏 excellent stuff from vishal..like man just goes into jhande gladness mode itna sa bhi margin dedo usse kuch karne ka one can see how hard he connects with og Deva too in his performance one can see both vishal and kanika ki performance main hi alag Tarah ka confidence and taking that step to further better their performance..

All in all just loved it..also this creep drama from creep ki side bhi was better executed jaldi se khatam and nit dragged .

Vishal totally owned the last scene.....as you said, one could clearly see how he just sinks his teeth into a scene when he gets stuff to play with.....the way he balanced both shades - that tender Deva who was getting so unraveled seeing Tara's tears and so tenderly wiping her tears and then the fierce Deva who was swearing vengeance against anyone who hurts Tara.

The bit when he's circling around that Sahani and that guy was like, "aap mujhe intimidate kar rahe hain, Sir".....matlab ekdum MAZEY lekar kiya hai Vishal ne scene, saaf dikhta hai.....I liked how they built up to the way Deva menacingly told that guy that teri nazar meri biwi pe thi.....like it didn't come out as a sudden shouting "meri biwi" declaration....he called her his wife twice and second time even referred to her as Deva ki wife....lol bhool gaya ki roz declare karta hai that Deva marr chuka hai

I also loved the thought and execution behind making Deva kneel before Tara, remove her sandal and use that to beat up the creep.....lol ek hi gesture se kitna kuch convey kar diya....for Deva, Tara will always be like a Queen, on a pedestal in his eyes....she is always "Ma'am" or "Memsaab" for him even as he's angry with her....that regard shows in gestures like these with how he removes her slipper almost reverently even as there is that fierceness in his eyes seeing her in pain....and then he channels that pain into anger - using her slipper to beat up the guy and make the point that he is just an instrument beating him on behalf of Tara.....Memsaab ki khidmat mein haazir unka Deva.....without saying a word also Deva manages to convey all this

Oh and all this talk of Ganna parade just took me down nostalgia road

+1 and that is what is still commendable in whatever the mess otherwise . It is funny that I read some people discussing that Deva is toxic and I was like 🤔 usne kya Kia hai toxic wala exactly? Yeh banda toh badla bhi nahi le paaya so much for his bsirf zabanni kasmein uppar uppar se when he has given Tara the reigns basically to his life after all this bas uppar uppar se bolne main toxic hi gaya Lol kuch bhi bhai kuch bhi.
