Anyways, otherwise his acting in the entry scene and the initial scenes with Mohit were good....enjoyed those cuz you could see the layers in the interaction - both good actors playing off each other. There is a mad look in the eyes of all Vishal characters it seems....he always has a little unhinged sa eccentric vibe he adds in to make his characters mysterious maybe.....is Tevar mein bhi wohi hai cuz he's clearly wearing a mask in front of Sikka while acting like his big admirer. I saw upto those epis when he sees Kulfi for the first time in the mandir (wahaan bhi Mahadev ki bhakti chal rahi thi iski as usual) and he initially thinks that's his daughter but baad mein woh birthday party mein he learns that Amyra is Sikka ki daughter with Lovely.

His wild hair as Tevar is cracking me up.....Deva wala hairstyle deffo suits him better too.

Baaki characters ke liye I have no patience so I've been forwarding through saara kids, Lovely, Sikka family drama stuff

Also yeh Lovely aka Anjali Anand toh ab Rocky Rani waali hi yaad rehti hai

I honestly don't remember much of the tracks there were all kinds of switches..asal main toh iski beti hai amyra and he could never had her so he and kulfi bonded over the fact ke thanks to lovely dono hi apne kins se durr thay..beech main I think woh lovely will try to poison woh amyra or something too to BM him or something but then kulfi and tevar will choose each other and I still remain with my opinion that they both were so fine for each other the way Tevar loved kulfi Sikka could never he did more for kulfii than sikka could ever heck he couldn't even get her to school so much for bapu ji kibechargi. The kids in this show were oversmart and all but it was fine for it's time for timepass but you will like him more as time goes like woh school event and all they remain in my memory Caz of how happy both tevar and kulfi were

Nikki is very good as Raavan....they even made bechara do a full on dance for Mahadev ki bhakti but he managed well there too

And wohi toh point hai mera....it doesn't get more perfect casting than Niki for Raavan....he's got the physique and screen presence down pat ekdum. Bollywood shouldn't even try unless they can get him as Raavan in the film also. Automatically iska stature dekh ke you BELIEVE why Raavan was fearsome....not only cuz of whatever power he had....matlab yeh banda toh basic level pe physically bhi utna powerful lagta hai to believe why people feared him.

Ab tu itna bhi na jaayaz faayda na utha simply Caz in caps main she looked bareable and word about everything you said about niki

Lol, I stopped watching around when Malini getting more demented. Maybe I watched some clips here and there. But since it was mainly written updates I forgot his name . It was really Adi- Imlie that we watched the show for:) once that started to be on shaky grounds, I switched to WU. I was kind of updated on going ons but have no recollection of his mom.

hirani has actually not spent much time on the process of dunki he mostly showed you the pre and post effecs and struggle and journey of it.. and kept the hardships to minimal but still i found the heart in the right palce and it came thru however i do wish that maybe he should have focused more on the journey for those who think ti is a joek to come illeagally( is aw this punjabi film with ammy virk on it i have forgtooten the name of and boy was that serious and heavy ) but that was accurate in most sense even they tried to add a lot of Funny sequences.. hirani doesn;t do that much he kept the seriousneess of the dangers but the duration was so short and fast that it doesn;t get absorbed that much yet the overall film did made me happy caz well it is so rare to get a bollywood film that gets the romance right and gives you the feels..

i lvoed the songs but esp in love with kutt putt gaya and Nikle thay ghat se along with O maahi matlab o mahhi se toha lag sort ka likeness aa gaya hai suddenly..

sukhi aka vicky is the stand out bruh cameo made so much impact

i recommend it solid 3/5

@ spidie mere ko toh chemsitry miss nahi lagii kahin bhi ya tapsee off i infact liked it jitna bhi tha caz wohi hai na aajkal itna bhi nahi kar paate in most love stories and manu just was all heart for me with how psoitive she was

I am happy you liked it. For me Vicky was the best part of the movie. Songs were good and a lot of time they make so much more impact once you actually watch a film, in this one I had the opposite reaction. Overall I found it quite boring, nothing connected me emotionally, and I guess it was mainly because I watched with higher expectations. When I read a lot of negative reviews of the movie and I watch it I like it better, cause I have zero expectations. This one I watched second day, so avoided any and all reviews and ended up not liking it at all.

Watched first 3 episodes and I absolutely loved it. I actually liked the actor playing Ravans mom. It was nice seeing Mahadev from RK, for some reason I thought you said Mahadev from Shiv - Shakti:) I like the way he smiles, its like you see it in his eyes. Actor playing Vishnu ( only one scene till now) but I like how his voice sounds so calm and soft ( its like essence of Ram)

What I really like till now is they have gone not to hard in make up and jewellery ( its not jarring). Except that one rishi who had hair do like antlers. The best part till now is how they have refrained till now from making all characters caricaturish. Like evil laugh for Ravan, or some weird eye make up or Manthra having some kind of evil music, also they have cast really decent actors for all main actors and supporting actors too. Lol even the rishi munis have better wigs and beards, IDK for some reasons these things distract me a lot.

Nikitin Dheer as Raavan is really the most stand out. As you said he has that physique that exudes power and he can act. He really has a towering personality. They have shown his menacing side right since he was a kid, but you also see his caring side with his sister and mother. Also liked the scene with Shiva where he creates the Shiv stotra , it was powerfully enacted.

The story telling so far is good, crisp and it keeps you engrossed. There are so many things like you said Raavans parents, Jatayu being Dashraths friend that I did not know of. The whole conversation between Shiv- Parvati about Shraap and Vardaan was very nicely conveyed.Lol it just blows my mind how these Vardaan and Shraaps are all interconnected The way Dashrath realizes that his curse is in a way a boon for him. Since he realized his mistake and didn’t make it worse by covering it, his curse was somewhat turned into a boon.


On a side note the actress that plays Kaikayi her eyes and her lips (IDK if its makeup) are similar to Aish. I also feel like she is trying to imitate her style, I can’t put my finger on it. Another random thing did the 🐍 around Mahadevs neck move so much in all his shows?

The GIFs you posted I really love that shot of Kubers Lanka. LMAO at angst going on between Raavans parents. It was kind of random though that dad came after such a long tap, washed his feet and all and had to leave just like that.

LOL I think I said the same actor that played Mahadev in RK plays Indra in Shiv Shakti so you might have misread ......I doubt Shiv Shakti wala Mahadev has time to do Mahadev in another show since woh Shiv Shakti wala part is a full time job.

True about the makeup/costumes....they are relatively simpler compared to other recent Swastik mytho shows.....even though some of the styling is similar with how they always use body paint art for the female goddesses.....lol woh RK ke time se chal raha hai inka in every show. And yeh flowers in the hair wala styling for Sita I think they used in RK as well as the Luv Kush show.....even the Shiv Shakti wala show has this similar styling for Parvati.

Also did you notice that Lanka wala set has some parts similar to Daksh ka palace in the Sati phase of Shiv Shakti?

Re: Shiv Strota....I didn't know the backstory of that and I was like wow Raavan composed that? lol cuz I'd heard that chant in so many shows and movies before this but never knew that Raavan is credited with writing it......and yes, they depicted that whole scene of Raavan's arrogance being crushed and how he turns into a devotee of Mahadev very well.

Re: curse and boon.....oh I sort of understood it as Dashrath realizing that there is a boon hidden within the curse he was given.....for him to feel the pain of seperation from his son, he had to first HAVE a son...lol.....so that is why it so came to be.....and yes other than that, Rishi Vashisht explained it nicely that Dashrath's actions after killing Shravan in not trying to cover up his mistake but atoning for it stopped it from becoming a crime.

It's frankly distracting seeing that moving snake around his neck....lol isse achha toh still puppet hi rehne dete no matter how fake it looks.....maybe later on they will revert back to the puppet version and bas initial epis mein CGI show off kar rahe hain

That was part of Raavan's grudge that Rakshas were stripped of a throne that rightfully belonged to them....and spending so many years in austerity added to that bitterness and thirst for revenge and power that they depicted right from his childhood.

Haan humare liye toh Imlie was just about Adi-Imlie only, true......but just for context, this lady basically played Aryan's mom and was shown as a very OTT character trying to talk in a weird English and she was instantly drooling over Imlie as her potential bahu.....lol isliye we were quite put off by the actress back then.....Fary is still carrying a grudge.....I'm just trying to watch her individually in each role she does....she's also in CJL currently so that's adding to Fary's irritation

thanks for the context very true all of it is.. wasie bhi you guys know by now ke mera jisse 36 ka akkda ho jaata hai usse phir next level hi koi Chamatkaar karna padega for me to move on and give acceptance again lmaobut jokes apart not that she and her lalla ruined imlie for us on another level as in by that time we were holding kuch na kuch hope ke shayad kabhi sita maiyaa kuch dhang ka kar hi dein and they cut it all off for us but idk again something about her darn sadu rota face everywhere she brings bada hi boring and gloomy saaya everywhere imlie se main chalo maaf kar bhi deti but ab has ROYALLY ruined CJL for me too which is makings me so much more PISSED off as you rightfully said dil kar raha hai aunty ka acting license chin loon unse and ban lagwa doon Jahan jaati hain kaali aandhi hi ban jaati hain atleast for me.. matlab woh baat hai ke shakal achi an ho toh karam ya baat hi achi kar lein aunty but nahi( p.s solely for the roles she plays and how irritatingly gloomy and abla and annoyign they are)

intresting!! New Learning for me.. i always thought rakshas is another name for raavan and they are like hand in hand synonyms and rakshas just mean bigger evil in the vocab did not know he was actually a King/ Mytho figure just like raavan too and uska hi koi dusra naam nahi hai.. matlab bachpan se yeh evil se snyonym hai as a a term for evil it is used but i thought it was just plain simple ek aur naam ..
