Lol and the fact that they tried to get eyeballs calling it was sequel in the works plz get better marketing agents plz..Caz a it is so out of place now since so much time has passed and dusta rk has no time to fit in a slice of life light movie man has some special 30 saal ke projects lene ka criteria and be stuck with the never made projects haha.

However having said that I do wanna see and hope that his and saj Pallavi ramayan says the light of day someday

Oh and since you are here, I will bore you with my regular review of the latest Swastik production - the Ramayan on Sony

So I checked out the first week of epis today and they've used the same Mahadev from RK....who currently plays Indra in Shiv Shakti.....and they've set it up as Mahadev narrating Ram katha to Parvati.

What differentiates this from the recent version of Ramayan that aired on SP - they've given more detail to Dashrath ki back story - how he got the name Dashrath, the fact that he was friends with Jataayu before Ram was even born (I didn't know this....lol), Raavan ki whole backstory from how he took over Lanka from Kuber....first time I saw a show showing Raavan's parents - his rishi father and rakshasi mom....they've set up the motives for why Raavan is the way he is pretty clearly rather than caricaturizing him as they did in the SP show. Also Nikitin Dheer is pretty perfect casting as Raavan.....also lol@ that Aryan ki mummy being Raavan ki mom in this....I could imagine Fary throwing a fit if she saw her

They've even take some time to establish the dynamic between Raavan and his siblings....Kumbhkaran ki backstory about why he sleeps half the year, Vibhishan the eternal coward who struggles between love for his brother and wanting to do the honorable thing and ofcourse Srupnakha.

The soundtrack is decent so far....nothing as intense as other recent Swastik soundtracks and the SP Ramayan deffo had better songs....but this is decent so far and has the narrative unfolding decently.

But hahaha at niki being ravaan .. the name has stuck to him but iss baar sach ka rsavan ban gaya warna humein bhi Nikki as raavan hi introduce karwaya gaya tha in iB hahaha

I took Vikrant's point in a general way....he wasn't victimizing TV waale in general but pointing out the general snobbery that exists against them....and this is probably coming from his long time on ITV where many good actors of his era also didn't get their due.....aaj kal ke faltu BB commercialized TV actors ki baat nahin kar rahe, the actual talented ones from 10 or so years back who did have the capability to crossover from the platform but tab woh opportunities nahin thi on OTT and Bollywood was totally shut to them......that's what he's talking about - the general sneering against TV actors from that era when now even a Salman is sitting on TV for 4 months every year for BB but no one looks down on him

And Vikrant also made an important differentiating point about how even when he was on TV, he made a concerted effort to choose parts that were off the beaten path....he is very right about that. Whether it was the Shyam of BV, the Ayan of QH or even that show where he was husband to the dwarf wife....he really chose distinct parts and did something alag with each of them.i agree to that and that is what i mean his body of work was always ahead of lame tv walas jinko karna dharna kuch nahi aata for real but arrogance and attitudes aasman pe hote hain after buying robo fans and fandoms esp the ones aiming to crossover now and then when they themselves act higher than thou..and then act asif tv is nothing..show the respect for the medium you are working on..the same kinda doesn't apply to the filmstars caz again they have the body of work and the stardown so for them doing hosting isn't them trying to make the transition like tv walas they are mostly doing as part time while tv walas move over to get that stardom and become bigger stars if it makes sense.

Re: Bobby....yes he came across very genuine in the way he spoke and that is what connected. The IV overall just had a very warm and positive vibe among this whole group. Yes even I didn't care much for Jaan e jaan this year but Kareena was nice to have in this group and fit in well to the convo. I haven't seen Animal or Lust stories or three of us either....nor the South films that Siddharth or Jyotika were referencing but I still enjoyed the convo overall.

Filhaal toh I'm kind of on a spree of watching old VVC IVs....lol kinda went down a rabbit hole thanks to related videos for 12th Fail....but will try to catch up on the other films soon.

I can tell and thanks for sharing all the insightful videos I am slowly trying to catch up on them too

Thanks for the link to the other Adda IV too.....I have no idea about these directors or the films they are referencing so might be more out there for me to connect to....lol but will still try watching. Yes plz 🙏 both the adda and the works Caz that is some darn good cinema both execution and writing wise almost the perfect movies in everyway.

Oh bhai yeh kya hai Shayad hi koi itna flat and devoid of any emotion police officer dekha ho..bhai sidharth tujhse na ho paayega..mass dialogues bhi utba robotic way main bol raha..I am sorry I genuinly feel bad criticizing Caz I actually do like the guy but this just looks so bad and not rohit shetty work at all with this much of flat line. Shilpa also is pretty bland in the promo

I'm very wary of any film versions of Ramayan now after seeing the disaster of Adipurush

TV pe they still have the luxury of time to show the story tassalli se rather than cherry picking things. Also, Sai Pallavi will be an awesome Sita no doubt but I'm quite doubtful about Ranbir's ability to pull off Ram with the mix of kind serenity and then fierce warrior also.....even Prabhas was off in Adipurush and didn't get the thehraav right....kinda blank faced and artificial in bits.

Frankly, TV waale Rams have done a good job as far as I've seen.....Ashish was very good in Siya ke Ram....even Sumedh did good in the version of Ram he played in RK....and even the current one on Sony is decent.....casting needs to be fresh or the actor has to really transform himself....Ranbir has been moving more towards aging himself than pulling off a fresh faced look which he would need to pull off the early days of Ram.....unless they intend to show only the battle with Raavan like they did in Adipurush

Yes Plz!!! Gif gif gif*haath utha ke nara lagaooing* would love to see them. This song easily had the mass dance song vibe gotten right aaj kal yeh itna simple basic bollywood trope bhi kitna namumkin sa ho gaya hai milna . Gosh I love this film

Agree! To me it genuinly sounds like a PR thing Caz it technically seems and sounds impossible the scale they are touting the vision sounds way too impossible to actually execute and dusra I also do feel that it is coming from clickbait side of cinema the same from where that adipurush came from.. where they want to I'm to get money even if the casting in this sounds more authentic with the talents. The timespan itself is way too much to keep going on.

LOL I thought the same.....IB days ki yaad aa gayi when we dubbed him IB ka Raavan only given how they had tried to symbolically set up his entry initially before Gul did her usual Gul-giri and did kachra of his track
