Caught up on this full Priyankit IV with Nayan today....lol despite Pri's awful makeup and styling, it's still a nice IV to watchsmiley36

Nayan tried to make it more general about their bond and evolution as people.....good questions.

Also watching this again reminded me why I sat through a BB season for them, especially Pri and her typical way of laughing, explaining her POVsmiley36.....is season ke pathetic contestants dekh ke, in dono ki value aur badh jaati hai eyes meinsmiley36

Watched this actor's adda today as well and enjoyed itsmiley36

I'd almost forgotten Bobby worked with VVC in Kareeb many years back and he knows Anupama since then....lol and the way he talked about his resurgence as an actor was interesting too cuz now he's become buddies with OTT waale actors rather than chasing stardomsmiley36

Vikrant fanboying over Kareena was cute....lol and also liked how he spoke about the caste divide still existing between TV actors and film actors and how long it's taken him to get to this point after 5 years of playing hero ka dostsmiley36...... and loved the bits from Siddharth and Jyotika also.....very well spoken and good points from the whole group I'd say. Really want to watch Siddharth's film after hearing him talk about it and I think you also raved about it here na, Fary?

I will comeback to this .. but yes go for chitha easily one of the bestbfrom 2023 and on hotstar . Maine roh hindi dubbed dekha tha iska Caz the dub was pretty good and I was lazy to read subtitles just letting you know ke you can pick hindi too as language. Caz otherwise I get very bothered about the lingo but Caz sid himself did it for him toh it was not jarring..exceptional work..and jyo's work on the production side has been so good too and again so much respect and love I have for Surya jyo so am looking forward..baaki toh you know vikrant is our boy since foreversmiley36 and bebo and Bobby are cool too so we good hahah atlesst they got deserving people here this year unlike many other ines in the past jahan kuch bhi karte hain

thought i would just repost this since now i have finished watching this.. This was really Good and i liked how the free conversation flowed in between.,. it was so nice to see the Fraternity vibe and Sid tryign to lighten up things and break that ice of south walas and Bollywood walas in between. Theya ll have done such incredible work so it was nice to hear them speak about it in detail.. probably jaan e jaan was my least fav out of all but Ok it was still a different film for kareena so i do get why she was called even if i personally feel bebo has done much better and superior work before. you mentioned most fo the high points but other than them i was mostly touched by bobby's groundedness once again in this and how he genuinely truly is thankful for the chances he got to rescue himslef matlab it just doesn't feel like he is saying token stuff to sound grounded the amount of times he kept going onto it felt very genuine and real.

lucky enough to have seen all the work mentioned here Except tilotamma's lust stories where i am sure she must've been incredible as she usually is.. may or may not see it as lust stories ain't my thing really.

I kinda am on the fence with regards to Vikran't answer on the wholel tv to film thing and lookingdown.. it sucks for actors like him or say ram or sakshi or mona the people who have always haad the Class along with talent who had made successful transitions and had their patience pay it off and now are known names however i personally do think that the separation needs to exist for those who start flying too high by doing 2 mins cameo and are unworthy in first palce but have bots or BB to back them to get work and thent hey think unse bhadh ke koi nahi*cough* aka Sifarishi TV wale and i would go onto name some here who i absolutly cannot stand and i find it insulting to have such Names be even associated with the whole Bollywood level *cough* kundra.. shehnaz gill, tejaswi , nimmo and i can go on naming moire but i shoudl stop.. so i do believe the ones that are looked down upon or should be need to better themsleves both in their art and class or maintaining themselves so yeah you can call it my narrow view but i persoanlly do feel the line should always be there as quality of work on TV matters too and such names cannot expect the same respect that say i give to vikrant given his body of work across mediums and if you don'tw ant the segrargation than maybe IMprove your body of WOrk if you want to get the same respect.. the otehr important point he made was about the Way OTT opened up ways for Parallel cienama and south to cross the bridge and i whole heartedly agree with that and would be forever thankful as i have mentioned Numerous times by now that even though i personally was exposed to all the south indian Industries and have Been in love with content for almost 15 years now it has been hard to keep up with it caz we didn't get to watch it all or if it was available it either didn't had subs or incorrect subs or it wasn't the good prints so that really changed with OTT actually giving them a platforma nd now esp netflix bringing more older Classics from south industries to their libraries

oh wow i didn't knew sid assisted on one of my most fav ratnam films which i have suggested you long ago and i beg once again to catch on netflix HWAT a film kannathil mtuthammil is... but i really enjoyed him fanboying over being able to work with kamal and ratnam ek saath and beign so proud of the film which seriously is Fantabulous and i want to discuss more once you watch the nuances the little details they really really hit you hard . also him teasing jaydeep was so cute.

jyo what a Woman.. man the solid grace she exudes probably one of the very few who made such a name and is a superstar because of the transition and has sustained over 2 decades almost.. at this point it is even hard to imagine her as a non tamil punjabi girl that she is.. t was intresting to hear her talk about having issues with the langauge still and lines and how she mugs them up caz well for me personally it is hard to separate her from surya and consider her as a separate entity as a person as they have been such a unit all thru this and are such a Goals wala Couple even though they have done individual incredible work.. maybe it is a me thing.. but absolutly magunificent film katthal is and her and mamooka were asbolutly mindblowing .. what a YEAR for mamukka truly what daredevil work he is taking now and delivering this year was so full of riska and all payign off so well.. what a bar he is setiting on how to keep reinventing himself

i also came across this in suggestions and started watching caz what GROUP with Such amazing portfolios blessed to have seen it all except the same film of konkona.. but GEMS are understatement esp for Viduthalaai and Sapta Sagaradaache Ello - Side A ( both 2 part films i have sseen 1 of both)which again i watched very recently and meant to post about them.. ON TOP tier to Recommened and we can talk more after since i do know you loved vetrimaran's work in asuran too.. WHAT A FILM VIDUTHALaai is and so him talking of hsi process again here was really enlightenign how he started as a 10 days film and aimed so high and how it went for over 140 days lol and his produceres kept giving him time and money when their budget actually tripled and quadrupled ( now beware this is typical vetrimaran style heavy film but a masterpiece .. so it was rather huh youc an't be serious when vetri said he actually doesn't know what he created and still doesn't know then the whole process of him shooting that opening scene and how much detailing and creative work it needed to create that one shot that only cost them 10 to 12 cr so with koko that a masterclass is going on here or with the Pataal lok director talkign about why he wanted to make a soothing film and just wanted to observe actors in three of us and then ofcourse Hemanth talking about how he wants side a & b to be lived in.. intresting that kartik mentions how he had the film 9 years ago then he thoguht it isn't ssatisfactory gave up on it and came back and nelson telling how he thought of reinventing Rajni sir in jailer with that cliamx whcih hands down is on of the most entertaining mass interval sequences of the year. ic an't mention that enough and *bajaiooes chutki* get on all of them on the list honey..

sapta side A i have only seen and it is another one of that layered love story and a tale of a man's one decision changing his whole life and how his life changes one of the most hardhitting love stories that start so breeezy and how their lives are turned upside down BRILLIANCE is an understatement on how they have shown the journey.. still to watch part 2 as it is not streaming yet but MUST WATCH.. and now seeing all the names here the south fan in me is smirkign caz in oen go you don't really realize this as you are watchign multiple branches of the same medium ka kaam but her you go wah once again it is the south walas who win with the variety and the understanding they have of human characters and how to present them and these diverse stories.. it really makes you go wow all of these films are so darn apart from each other but incredible with JAiler being the most commercial out of them and fitting that mass criteria along with rocky and rani the others are more serious films but each a WINNER and a bit more in their own way.. i look forward to read your views and i hope you check them all out caz i highly highly recommend them all.. however i do have to say kathik's jigarthanda feel a bit short for me it didn't quiete hit the mark for me and i felt in the guise of that whole practical joke making afilm by narrating something else and ending up a big success story which is the base line it became something too dark in this part and it did end up feelign not karthik's work to me fully i loved the predecesser and enjoyed it but then again that was mad fun film so i didn't expect the social/political.cast take in this so iw asn't prepared .. not a bad film but my least fav out of all( barring that i haven't seen koko's lust stroies and three of us yet)

I took Vikrant's point in a general way....he wasn't victimizing TV waale in general but pointing out the general snobbery that exists against them....and this is probably coming from his long time on ITV where many good actors of his era also didn't get their due.....aaj kal ke faltu BB commercialized TV actors ki baat nahin kar rahe, the actual talented ones from 10 or so years back who did have the capability to crossover from the platform but tab woh opportunities nahin thi on OTT and Bollywood was totally shut to them......that's what he's talking about - the general sneering against TV actors from that era when now even a Salman is sitting on TV for 4 months every year for BB but no one looks down on himsmiley36

And Vikrant also made an important differentiating point about how even when he was on TV, he made a concerted effort to choose parts that were off the beaten path....he is very right about that. Whether it was the Shyam of BV, the Ayan of QH or even that show where he was husband to the dwarf wife....he really chose distinct parts and did something alag with each of them.

Re: Bobby....yes he came across very genuine in the way he spoke and that is what connected. The IV overall just had a very warm and positive vibe among this whole group. Yes even I didn't care much for Jaan e jaan this year but Kareena was nice to have in this group and fit in well to the convo. I haven't seen Animal or Lust stories or three of us either....nor the South films that Siddharth or Jyotika were referencing but I still enjoyed the convo overall.

Filhaal toh I'm kind of on a spree of watching old VVC IVs....lol kinda went down a rabbit hole thanks to related videos for 12th Fail....but will try to catch up on the other films soon.

Thanks for the link to the other Adda IV too.....I have no idea about these directors or the films they are referencing so might be more out there for me to connect to....lol but will still try watching.
