This is just my personal opinion so don’t come for me. But I feel like this show doesn’t have the same vibe or magic like its initial episodes.
Tv serials are always driven by trp. The makers and the production team is always under pressure. It is very tough to maintain it. So even if we feel that the show lost its charm, We cannot blame them because in compare to any other shows that is running in Colors, Chand is less regressive.
The plot has changed drastically. Dev’s character took a 360 degree turn.
I dont think so.Dev had anger issues, emitting from his wounded past. He returned as a calculative powerful builder, but With passing of time Tara"s presence started affecting him. Tara is the one who affect him the most,So he was getting softened. Then again Arjun"s intervention in Devra"s life resurfaced his wounds. Lies and Blames bring out the wounded lion from him, Initally Chachi"s false allegations and now Nani"s way of telling the truth had again made him angry.. Whenever something or any emotion is related to Tara, Dev gets livid. So I dont think he had been changed. He is not a shrewd or ruthless man. He is honest and kind hearted. He has anger issues Revenge jaisa crooked chiz woh sochta hai woh le payega par uss se hota nhi hai. He is angry, He might hurt Tara but can never take revenge. So I dont find any change. But here I would like to add that makers could have added such scenes which could be the visual interpretations of his sufferings. They only give few dialouges, But A strong flash back of Dev"s past would have been justified but the makers couldn’t show it,
Tara change is not that drastic however. This happened for me after the marriage track. Usually i LOVE revenge marriage tracks but i don’t know why it feels like something is missing here.
The revenge is missing. Deva clearly is incapable of taking revenge. He is not a cruel and ruthless man. He survived the betrayal and is now terribly distrusting and being angry to Tara. So I personally call this marriage as Angst marriage rather than Revenge. Dev can hurt Tara but He cannot do things that will violate Tara"s dignity. He though tried in their Suhag Raat but failed.
The lead character’s chemistry doesn’t feel the same either. Obviously alot of changes were made to boost the TRP. For me personally, i just binge watch some scenes on yt in the weekend instead of watching full episodes every day. I was expecting an epic love story but just like every other indian serial, they turned it into a typical family drama with najayaz aulaad and a sanskari patni who sacrifices her entire life for the sake of her toxic husband.
Deva is anything but not toxic. He is angry. If they will not add cliche subplots, it will be difficult for the show to survive. They in any way will have to bring family drama, Itv runs on that only, Tara is not a sacrificial goat. She is cool and composed. Right now,She is bearing the punishment, of her past mistake. She is just considerate enough to heal Deva, Deva will not physically or sexually abuse her ever, But the behavior he is showing ia bitter, I agree but its someway or other justified. The angst is very natural. I request you to watch yesterday "s episode, The angst romance was so back....
Anyway, i hope im not the only one feeling this
Usually a Tv show go downhill when the execution is not in the right track, As a fictional story teller by passion, What I feel they could have shown Arjun as Tara's fiance from the beginning who lives in London and allowed The Saigals to stay in Mumbai... Then sheezan's entry would have been turn to positive. His sudden entry reduce the trp drastically, hence the makers had to change the story, sacrificing its original plot or content. Secondly, I feel They should have shown strong parallel flaahbacks of Deva's tormenting teenhood that he faced after escaping from Juvenile... Such pathos and visual discernment creates sympathy and would have raised the trp. Passionate romance and Crude past could have run sumaltenuously
This is just my Opinion . I hope I have not offended you...
