Kiara might’ve had the financial privilege but where does that get you in BW. There are tonnes of far far better looking women wanting to be a BW actress every single minute of every single day. What helped her was her in due to an older top actress like Juhi, not really her financial privilege which she capitalised on & luck favoured her.

People go on & on about RS, but RS is a below-average looking man & for all his financial privilege etc, KARAN JOHAR has admitted many times, how he tried to have RS & Anushka Sharma changed b/c they’re that awful looking. While RS comes from a very well-to-do family etc, the Sonam-Anil Kapoor family don’t really seem to care for him esp the younger Kapoor children. It’s interesting b/c while he has the connections & privilege, his journey has been that of an outsider. He had to audition &’actively fight a lot against industry perception.

DP might be self-made but RS can’t be called self made. I heard his dad helped YRF to make his debut movie. KJo might tried to harm Anushka’s career but there is no way he could harm Ranveer’s career. If he tried, then Ranveer would end up like Sushant. When Sushant died, people were saying how Aditya Chopra treated them differently. Aditya singed contract deal with Sushant and didn’t let him work with other banners but he let Ranveer to work with other banners. If Ranveer didn’t come from an influential family, then Aditya and KJo would do the same thing that they did with Sushant.

Goes to show how different people have different opinions b/c I’ve heard very reliably, that there was no funding by RS & his fam for his debut. He sucked up to Shanoo Sharma (YRF main casting director) all the time & she introduced him to AdiC. Yes, he does come from a really well-to-do family but so did Manisha Koirala who was subjected to the casting couch. 🧐 So I disagree. His an interesting story anyway of being well-connected but reviled by BW. Until he became a star, KJo wouldn’t even spit at him.

If his mother had money to gamble and was a wealthy kitty party lady and lived in Pali Hill, then why didnt Akki have cash?

100% agree. KJo could not talk about how he wanted to kill their careers if Ranveer had that much family influence.

Just warning you that this thread and its OP has a long history of hating on Ranveer and Deepika and this thread was created specifically for the purpose of trashing these two and Vicky (another actor on the hit list). I have had these exact conversations before and my answers were not taken well so this has become a topic for the public forum in order to prove that I am wrong. Any other semi-insiders in Bollywood?

What rubbish. You're not gonna tell me that Deepika is more of an outsider than an Akshay who comes from Chandni Chowk not related or familiar to a single Bollywood celebrity, or SRK from Delhi who started off on television purely due to his talent and good luck and got noticed. Both these men didn't even come from "wealthy" families to begin with, leave alone being related to/known to stars.

Deepika's father was already a well known name and so was she before she actually entered the industry.
