I am not an HC fan but He got enough from RishtaSorry butting in between, unasked. Harshad ko like karna hai or feeling that he was not upto the mark is an individual choice and subjective.
But if you are a Harshad fan, you should not have to really bother about what happened to Abhimanyu Birla.
As an actor,He won ITAs back to back for the role.
He was highest paid of Gen 3.
He was one of the face of the banner from start to end (despite his storyline)He enjoyed support from the channel.
He enjoys massive fan following (which borders to insanity at times: sorry
).
He got his exit on his own terms.
Abhimanyu might not have gotten the girl but the actor playing it got much much more
Legacy ki beti kiski hogi hardly care main khud nahi dekhne wali toh it does not matter to me I prefer the fl not to be Abhimanyu's daughter knowing the history of fl turning cold-blooded murderers in the name of mistake and Abhimanyu being doctor suite nahi hoga 
But I personally liked HC in Gen 3 more than his other shows as the show was all about the father's struggle against evil ex. Maine toh Abhimanyu ke last episodes bhi nahi dekha as he died on the day when he left manjari for the so-called Toxic fl
