. But I felt he didn't meant to slap her. He aggressively removed the blanket and later leaned down to get up. Ankita got scared by the way he suddenly leaned down. The wrong thing here was vicky's aggression. He shouldn't have become so aggressive enough to scare his wife and it was disgusting from his side. Don’t know about labels like “Gentleman” - no one is one dimensional like that or behave in a straight line always.
But he is not fake. 
He tries to works on his flaws. And he genuinely believes in equality - that’s the essence of who he is. He loves Aishwarya because she is so strong, independent & opinionated. Yes he did go overboard in his fights - but that is not disrespect - it is lack of self-control. Besides, if he doesn’t fight, Bigg Boss says he is not taking a stand. 🤷♀️ Obviously, he isn’t aggressive like this in real life.
