I see what you did there
Who? Bilal, wahaj, hania, azhekha?

Last one in your question.
Asif is unlikely to get punished so much in this drama. Partly the people whom he cares for the most- both his kids and Mubashira have already paid the price for it.
Two of the most level headed characters in this drama are Zaid and Kash. They have made blunders, but by and large both have a good heart. Whatever Asif has done, they both wouldn't want him to suffer- Kash of course has no reason and Zaid has come to the conclusion the world doesn't work on the eye for an eye principle. That's his basic nature actually. Ayra is the only one who will harbour hatred for him and that's also why her relationship with Zaid won't work out finally. She has only negative feelings for his family.
Asif: All his crimes are there, but the motive also matters. Every now and then he swears he knows Ayra is after money and only money- so that's the reason he protects and restricts his son. Yes, it is his misconception towards all middle class girls, but that is his conviction. I feel he will not suffer so much for acting in his misconception to safeguard his family. Also, we have to know these ppl roam around with bodyguards, so violence and ruthlessness is a part of their life. That's why it comes so easily for Asif and it is unpalatable for us. Somewhere Asif argues that his son doesn't know the harsh realities of life, thanks to him...yes, Zaid grew up more privileged because his father made sure he could provide all that. That's why I wouldn't judge him too harshly.
Regarding choosing Mub as the perfect bride for Zaid... actually the audience knows only her crazy side. There was a confident and much adored Mubashira that existed before the first episode - who was literally worshipped by Kash and Asif wished his child was as bold as Mubashira. All her faults were amplified after the divorce and we have seen only that...not that she was a pari, but she's someone who has a good sense of fashion, the life of every party and probably if you put her in business she will come out as the perfect complement to Zaid's hardwork and acumen. Asif sees only that in Mubashira- he knows whatever crazy depression she went through would only be temporary. Can't say he made a terrible choice for Zaid.
Has anyone watched any of Zanjabeel dramas before this?
Last year I watched Bashar Momin which was made in 2014. That's the only one I have watched and I remember enjoying it actually. Just realised Mubashira is like a female adaptation of Bashar Momin- actually many shades more palatable.

There’s really no reason to be vile. If you don’t like different opinions, feel free to ignore them like an adult :)
I must have mistaken this for a legit discussion place for a drama, but apparently conflicting opinions have no place here.

Pyaar ke sadkay was good. Fitoor was trash. Also now Mein is trash as well. Zanjabeel is definitely a hit or miss writer. Very obvious she tried next to nothing while working on Mein’s script. Pyaar ke sadkay had amazing dialogues and heartfelt moments. Mein is just khichri with the main leads taking turns playing villains in each others lives 🤦🏻♀️

@redunderlined, don't you think same applies for you? I didn't even mention you.
No need to get triggered if you aren't Azekha.

Balaa, cheekh, pyaar ke sadkey, Bashar momin all were her dramas. Her dramas start well then gets draggy and ends in a rush. In all these three dramas she gave too much footage to the villains and the leads get their brains back only in the last 2-3 episodes. There will be endless suffering for the leads for more than half of the dramas.

Mein is somewhat popular from what I understood. Everyone has issues with it, still it is popular.
Bashar Momin was not so confusing because the female lead was solid and no nonsense. The male lead is not exactly someone to root for, but the writing managed to get it done.
Wanted to watch pyar ke - some starting trouble. Will get around to watching it. Based on these two dramas, Zanjabeel seems to be a decent writer so far. Mein has been sort of ok because I don't mind Ayra or Asif- both don't evoke strong feelings probably because as audience I'm too focused on Zaid and Mubashira and plenty of analysis required there to wonder why each one is doing this or that. Hoping it won't end up a waste of time. 😄 Hate it when the writer crashes the ending.
