Yes Sai was a firebrand, but a lot of sensible things she said were ignored because of her way of speaking. Abhira on the other hand has this calm, logical way of putting forth her arguments. So her arguments are heard, unlike in Sai's case where her valid points were dismissed as badtameezi.

I don't think it's about maasa, it's more that she doesn't want her real son to be blamed. If Abhora has said same thing to armaan she wouldn't have behaved the same. It's more about that her son for her is best. She loves armaan but not like Rohit. And I don't know why but I think dadi is a better character than most of the evil shades like vidya, fufa, swarna and even Manish Goenka.
