There was a clear conversation between akshara and abhimanyu about this before leap, after 6 years they will get returns. This is what he said. But after leap it was not discussed. Anyway he has enough money to buy a 2 storyed house in ranikhet immediately when they decided to shift there. So he was not penniless even if he lost his job for 2 days. And one more thing akshara told abhimanyu that he arranged that house for gonekas to make him stay I suppose if I remember correctly.

How come he has no relation with Goenka family? Arohi was a Birla bahu (widower of Neil). So he had a relation with them from Neil's side. Plus his son was a part of Goenka lol.

This has been talked many times already but Abhi clearly didn't like the idea to stay at Goenka house. It was Ak who told her it was his house as well
