Among the many many problematic things shown in Anupama, the fundamental premise is flawed.
They have tried extremely hard to portray Anupama as an overachiever and failed miserably.
Anupama's "achievements" have no meaning or efforts or gratitude or sense of commitment from Anupama. This is because they are NOT earned based on merit but handed down.
1. Her first job was on the insistence and recommendation of her friend. Again, her misplaced priorities came in the way.
2. The online classes and eventually the world phamous Dence Ecedemy was a gift of Samar and Nandini built on inheritance from Hansmukh. She tossed it around because she never sweated building it.
3. Her divorce is the biggest joke one witnessed. She did not know she was abused, she has no realisation of everything that happened over the 26 years, that was not the premise of her divorce either. She never relinquished her rights post her divorce. Hell, she even said the legendary "Kagaj ke tukde par........"
4. She earned a partnership and bailed out Shahs off a 40 Lakh loan single-handedly based on an idea which was not even professionally pitched and granted purely based on love (this is more on Anuj than Anupama). This venture, we are told tanked even before taking off, again, misplaced priorities may be because of the lack of potential in the idea? (This is more to do with lack of commitment towards a cause.)
5. She was made a partner/owner of Kapadia Empire and Kapadia Mansion. Even here, her commitment is rather questionable again owing to her misplaced priorities.
6. She is made "uttaradhikari" of a World Phamous Dance Academy run by her idol. Shows her interest in her new role, only to break her trust at the very last moment. Compensation was taken care of by, mere Anuj.
7. She runs to her biological mother and brother when every other source shuts. Her biological family offers her help and stability. She did Not even take measures to improve the way her biological mother and Bhavesh ran their business. She wasn't grateful to her mother and brother who stood by her in times of dire need.
8. She lands herself as "jogan" after running many ventures. Why? What us the use of the experience and goodwill (if any) earned? Why not implement ideas you so freely spoke?
9. Her "work permit", even air tickets are handed to her by Devika to fulfill her Amreekan dream, one would never know for what? She doesn't even work for her own dreams even when she has no one to bind her.
In ALL these situations:
First Devika, then Anuj first pushed her into taking up the opportunity, pursuing it and when she failed to meet commitments, bore the penalties.
Each time they have not been present to clean up the mess she has created, she has run to her biological mother only to conveniently ignore her every other time and start something she hasn't seen through.
Example: Maaya's track and now when she, in Devika's words, has become a "jogan".
She is shown to need an Angel Godmother or a Prince Charming to bail her out without them, she is not shown to have anything to call her own journey, her own efforts.
This is problematic.
everything in this show is logic less and problematic, we need to watch this leaving our brain cells behind,lol
