Why does Anupamaa still call Malti Devi ‘GuruMaa’ even after she has been promoted to her Saas?

Malti Devi is not her dance teacher anymore she is her ‘Saas’ so why doesn’t she call her MAA, Maaji, SaasuMaa Baa?
I know that Anooj hates her and doesn’t accept her as his MAA but it’s still Upma’s duty to show respect to her. In her own words ‘Kyunki Woh Bade Hai Aur Bade Bhagwan Hote Hain!’

If Baa can be promoted from Saas to MAA then why can’t Malti be promoted from GuruMaa to Saas?

Not sympathising with Boring Balti as she is just plain useless! I bet Savita Virani is laughing at how useless her doppelgänger is!
