Honestly trp system is so flawed and inaccurate it should be done away with. How can you gauge the popularity of a show based on the sample size of few thousand households? And we all know trps can be manipulated and bought. I'm pretty sure Star channel rigs them. It's an unreliable outdated system and it's high time another more holistic approach is used to measure shows.

Katha's real popularity can be gauged online. It is reflected in the awards it is getting and the recognition the actors and even the ost is getting. All you can see in the comments section of these songs is how many people came to know about them through Katha

I'm not sure but the only sony show to score any ITA nomination was Katha. It's sad that channels would milk a show for its worth and then kick it to the curb so unfairly on whim.

They got freaking 9 nominations and next day Sony axed it, pretty much shocking. I have never seen any show gets as much nominations at a time, channel axe in between it.

Their every show gets 0.3 or 0.4, I am unable to digest slot change even as current show even getting exact 0.3. Then why?

0.2 isn't even bad at 7 pm, in fact good. I don't think their actors even charge so much that they can't afford or budget issues.

Feels like channel and PH had a tiff, channel just fired PH to show who is the boss.

If you don't know, the show was very popular before as well. For 8 months straight, it was the best show on GossipsTv show ranking and won many awards whereever it got nominated.

There are other channels too which do show ranking polls but, GossipsTv is the largest and the most reliable one.

Oh, now you know . The online fanbase of this show is much larger than TV fanbase for obvious reasons.

Because this show requires extra attention from viewers and expects them to remember many things that are shown before or else, they might feel a major disconnect if it continues for a while. Like in recent episode, Katha removed 4 things and put it inside the carton - A building design, her photograph in front of Taj Mahal, Calythea plant and a Backrest. Each of those 4 things have a episode dedicated to them (or atleast a part of the episode). Those who are irregular viewers, they won't understand the importance of those things. Especially that plant holds significant importance for me - To the new beginnings.

Yes, I have watched all the previous episodes, although skipped Grewals and Aarav scenes. Surprisingly I didn't like them from the very beginning.

I have been following this show since march but, I properly watched all the episodes in one go in july when I got a long break from my college.

I too started skipping Aarav scenes to get over with the show but, later regretted it for some reason and had to watch it again . Robin batman bond was heartwarming even though it was childish but it was good.

Grewals scenes were good mostly for me and writers also created a parallel between Viaan's redemption and Grewal's redemption which kept me connected with their narrative. Although, Grewal redemption can't be compared that to of Viaan's but, I would say they tried their best within their boundaries by giving Katha her right within the Grewal Empire and in Grewal family, this was the least they could have done and this was the best they could have done. - Apology through actions.

In the later half, I too started skipping them but, again I regretted it for some reason as I started feeling disconnected and had to rewatch their scenes entirely to remove that disconnect . In this way I watched each episode of this show twice.

This is another selling point of this show for me. Even side characters had their stories. There were not just mere statues.

Its not just one week of episode but, over 200 episodes of magical journey this show made us experience and this same journey is experienced by each member who is helping to keep the trend going. And, this magic is what has united so many people and the reason why I am here and many of us are here.

Be it the heartwarming relation of Katha and Aarav, or friendship of Viaan and Ehsan, Or the love story of KaViaan, Friendship and mother daughter relationship between Katha and Neerja or the feeling you get when you become a father, or the process of healing and overcoming the ghosts of the past. So many emotions so many relations all beautifully portrayed and executed that you permanently want to live in this world.

On top of that, add the layer of top notch acting, Brilliant cinematorgraphy and Exquisite choice of songs which directly pull the strings of your heart and express the situation musically not just visually.

This show is nothing like I have even seen on Indian Television. I would say, I have never seen something so elegant and so beautiful and complete in my life before.

There are movies which are more beautiful that this but, they are movies. 3 hours at max and then they end, but, this show was a practically never ending movie for me. Its so long and yet so beautiful. There are ups and downs and the positivity and peace which I got when I watched this show is simply too good to put here in words.

Agree. 200 episodes of magic, and that too without any overt, commonplace romance. What drew people to the show when the leads hardly held hands for more than 100 episodes? For me the romance lied in the simplicity. In plain words the show won me over because it showed that there's beauty and romance in the mundane if two people just like being with each other. Sharing coffees, working together, having a stroll, travelling together. Normal is not always boring, and falling in love is both a terrifying and lovely feeling.

There were no ott dhoom tanana, no saazishen, no out-n-out evil people, no kidnappings or murder attempts or stupid misunderstandings, or bride/groom swappings, no quarterly divorces, or throwing out of pregnant FL etc etc. The show was believable and realistic.

Of course none of it would have been possible without the superior cinematography, screenplay, dialogue writing, music and direction. I've never been so impressed by these departments in any itv show. Usually it's mainly the acting. But here the acting was a pleasant plus point. The writing, and background score, and direction were the real heroes. Sometimes everything was just too awesome and unbelievably good for an itv show. It was literally art, and it brought that same peace, comfort, joy and happiness that comes with art.

Seems like some irreconciliable tiff to me too. Which is kind of senseless to think because won't they ever work together in future? Or haven't they worked together in the past? What kind of working relationship do these channels and PHs have then if a show can be axed abruptly without any regard to anything. Only the bottom line matters even if it means doing business unethically and in bad taste.

Its nothing absolutely nothing, no tiff between ph and channel, no issues of trp or budget. Its sony's habit. They have done it in the past numerous times and they are doing it in present and probably they will continue this bad habit in future also.

I have been heart broken in past by this whims and fancies of sony tv by axing their well performing shows suddenly out of no where and I have vowed everytime not to watch a sony show ever again but here I am, again hooked to KA.

In the world of ott, still tv soap has its own charm but itv is so full of crap. Sony is the only channel which brings sensible shows. It left us no option.

But dont know why this crazy channel has this irritating bad habit of axing its own show abruptly. Tbh, I am atleast satisfied that this time they gonna give us full story with happy ending because they have ended their shows in mid also without any conclusion.

Nothing can put sense into their dense brain I think. So no point of discussion. Lets celebrate for show, it was really good while it lasted.

I remember how they axed Beyhadh 2, that show had only 20 or 30 episode to conclude. They wanted to shift to SonyLiv, actress wanted on TV. This channel is just ridiculous.
