Dev' s balanced revenge

Indian Television is heavily driven by trps so we cannot really trust them. But so far What we see is that Dev is a balanced character . He knew how and when to press the nerve It seems he had returned after a lot of preparation. He talks less executes more.

Vishal played Lakhan Thakur in Begusarai. Lakhan too used to speak less and do more. But the basic difference between them

It was easy to trigger him as anger always used to overpower his sanity. But Dev channalizes his anger to right path. Lakhan used to punish Poonam of no fault. He was toxic and abusive but Dev even if in his spree of revenge would not do such things. Unlike Poonam Tara is bold and vocal. Its quite a treat to watch them fighting in equal note.

He used Raunaq"s greed for money and Tara's callousness of signing the papers without reading it. So far and so forth I personally find nothing irrational in his behavior. He doesn’t yell or show his pseudo chauvinism. He took the house quite legally as Tara's father though signed it was a cheat done by Raunaq. He took the horse by paying the right price and now he had sent a legal notice Against her unprofessional behaviour. He did exactly what a Company will do. Now if we talk about the revenge here the cinematic melodrama starts where a horse race will decide if Tara would work for him or not. The way the makers took the thing from legal to personal level was dramatic but doesn’t feel unreal. Lets see how love changes all the equations of debits and credits Detara had decided for themselves.

I agree. I don’t know how many of yall have seen Ek tha raja ek thi rani S2 but that was also a revenge story. The backstory of the two main leads is quite similar actually. There the ML had to leave his house and go to boarding school bcs the FL lied about him hitting his brother. But the main difference between both of these shows is the way the ML takes revenge. Raja basically physically abused the FL, made her is servant, bullied her in college and touched her without consent. It was so toxic that I couldn’t even finish watching it.
Here, Dev takes his revenge with class. No abuse, no bullying, no forcefully touching the FL and like you said his actions speak louder than his words. Apart from the pain he has burried inside of him, he seems like a good human which we could clearly see by the way he treated his kaka in yesterday’s episode.

I get the impression that Deva can't make up his mind whether to get back together with Tara or have his revenge.Very indecisive. Unlike Lakhan from Begusarai who was focused on his fiancee from the Day1. Both are childhood loves. But Lakhan is written better. You can see events escalating and why he goes full Bhim the Berserker from Mahabharata mode when Arjun stands between him and his Draupadi. Deva is a lot more sauve and sophisticated in dealing out his threats. More iron in a velvet glove.

Agreed totally with you Lakhan is one of the kind character. Lakham heavily lacked communication and Initially Lakhan was a person full of entitlement who never thought that emotions are needed to be expressed. He expected Poonam to love him and be respectful to him. To him Love Fear and Reverence was the same thing. He had been nurtured and tutored like that but Dev is torned between his emotions and his spite. Tara and Dev 's relation was based on strong and fond memories. It started with a very pure and sweet note where as Poonam was scared of Lakhan. Tara conquered over her fear as Dev was his support While Lakhan Himself was the source of fear for Poonam. Dev and Lakhan are very different but yet similar in some senses.
